Overview:

The Wisner-Pilger Boys hope to improve off last year's 9-15 season.

A couple of key players for Wisner-Pilger include Hunter Waterman (5'11, JR PG) and Korrell Koehlmoos (6'0, JR SG).

Wisner-Pilger chose not to send any preseason information so this is the only information I have for them in terms of a roster.

Season Outlook:

There a number of challenging games on the slate for Wisner-Pilger this season, including contests against Stanton, Oakland-Craig, Wayne, Howells-Dodge, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, Twin River, North Bend Central, BRLD, and Laurel-Concord-Coleridge.

The Gators are in Sub-District C2-7 with Battle Creek, Stanton, Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, and Howells-Dodge.

This sub-district is loaded so it's important for Wisner-Pilger to play well throughout the regular season, and peak at the end of the regular season to give themselves a shot to have postseason success.

The Gators begin their season on Thursday in the Tip-Off Classic.

The Wisner-Pilger Girls are under new leadership as Karrie Bodwell takes over for Chuck Ross.

Ariel Meyer, Alexis Heller, Ashton Meyer, Maci Batenhorst, and Jordan Wegner figure to be the main key go to players this season.

I think the talent is there for the Gators to do something this season. I understand Bodwell served as an assistant prior to taking over as Head Coach so the players should already be familiar with her and what is going to be asked of them and so forth.

Season Outlook:

Wisner-Pilger plays a tough schedule, taking on the likes of Stanton, Tekamah-Herman, Oakland-Craig, Wayne, West Point-Beemer, Howells-Dodge, Twin River, Pender, North Bend Central, and BRLD.

The Gators figure to be challenged this year, but Wisner-Pilger was tough last year, and I look for that to be the case this year too.

The Gators are in Sub-District C2-7 with Battle Creek, Stanton, Howells-Dodge, and Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family.

Those teams are no slouch so Wisner-Pilger is going to have to play at an extremely high level throughout the regular season to compete in Sub-Districts, in my opinion,

The Gators are going to need to be playing their best basketball come sub-district time.

Wisner-Pilger starts their season on Thursday in the Tip-Off Classic.
