Tekamah-Herman Boys lose to Wisner-Pilger and Twin River; Girls lose to both plus Yutan

The Tekamah-Herman Boys Basketball Team lost 74-6 at home to Wisner-Pilger Friday night before falling 63-21 at home to Twin River on Saturday.

The Gators shutout the Tigers 23-0 in the 1st quarter, and outscored Tekamah-Herman 29-5 in the 2nd quarter to take a 52-5 lead into the locker room.

Wisner-Pilger won the 3rd quarter 13-1 to go up 65-6 after three.

The Gators blanked the Tigers 9-0 in the 4th quarter.

Connor Feiling had 8 points for the Tigers in the Twin River.

Two tough games for Tekamah-Herman. Saturday's game was an improvement from Friday I would say though.

The Tigers (0-4) host Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (4-1) Friday night.

The Raiders won 60-40 at Columbus Lakeview Tuesday night.

Tekamah-Herman has to make it a point to slow down Jacob Polk and Ben Moxness.

Those two have done a lot of damage for LVSS this season.

The Tigers have to keep playing and fighting hard, and do their best to get better.

It has been a tough season so far for Tekamah-Herman, but the Tigers can't pack it in and give up.

There's a long ways to go, and Tekamah-Herman has to persevere and overcome their struggles.

Brighter days are ahead for the Tigers, you can bet that, and Tekamah-Herman has to get through this tough time.

The Tigers have to give it their all and their best effort, and do everything they can to compete in this one.

A win is probably out of the question as unfortunately Tekamah-Herman is playing a very good LVSS team.

The Tigers should still play to win and approach this game like they can win it though.

It has to be tough losing the way Tekamah-Herman is, but all the Tigers can do is continue to fight on and press forward.

Tekamah-Herman is very young so all the playing experience these freshmen and sophomores are getting is only going to help the Tigers in the future.

Tekamah-Herman has to understand that as tough as this season is, it is preparing them for next year and future years.

That may not be music to the seniors and even juniors' ears, but it is what it is.

The Tigers have to keep growing and improving everyday, and realize they are a part of future growth for Tekamah-Herman Boys Basketball.

The Tekamah-Herman Girls Basketball Team lost 59-23 at home to Wisner-Pilger Friday night, 37-28 at home against Twin River on Saturday, and 49-22 at home to Yutan Tuesday night.

The Titans led the Tigers 10-2 after one. Twin River outscored Tekamah-Herman 14-4 in the 2nd quarter to take a 24-6 lead into the locker room.

The Tigers won the 3rd quarter 12-5 to make it a 29-18 game at the end of three.

Tekamah-Herman won the 4th quarter 10-8.

Marin Jetensky had 15 points, including 13 in the 2nd half, for the Tigers while Jadyn Fleischman chipped in 8.

Jetensky led the way with 12 points against the Chieftains.

I thought Tekamah-Herman played a good second half against Twin River. The Tigers need to keep playing like that.

Tekamah-Herman (0-6) hosts Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (1-4) Friday night.

The Raiders lost 44-26 at Columbus Lakeview Tuesday night.

LVSS is led by Morgan Morgan, Kaylee Boyle, and Shaylin Daugherty.

Those three have been the Raiders' most consistent performers over the last three games.

The Tigers have to able to handle the ball and pressure, and get the ball up court and get it into Jetensky and Fleischman.

Tekamah-Herman has good post play, but the Tigers lack someone who can handle the ball well.

Tekamah-Herman has to be better offensively than they have been.

Defense hasn't been an issue for the Tigers, but offense has.

The good news is LVSS has also struggled this season.

This should be a good, close game, and Tekamah-Herman has to believe that they can get this one.

The Tigers definitely want to get a win before the Holiday Break. The last thing Tekamah-Herman wants is to be winless heading into Christmas.

The Tigers have to play with a sense of urgency and purpose Friday night.

Tekamah-Herman has to play with passion, pride, mental and physical toughness, grit, tenacity, and fire.

The Tigers have to want it more than the Raiders, and have to get after things on both ends of the floor.

Tekamah-Herman has to create turnovers and get out in transition and score points.

The Tigers have to be confident handling the ball, and must handle pressure well and make smart, crisp passes, get good, open shots, and get to and convert at the free throw line.

Tekamah-Herman also has to box out and rebound well as well as do a good job of contesting shots.

If the Tigers do all these things well they should give themselves a chance to win.
