Wisner-Pilger Boys and Girls steamroll Tekamah-Herman

The Wisner-Pilger Boys Basketball Team blew out Tekamah-Herman on the road Friday night, winning 74-6.

The Gators shutout the Tigers 23-0 in the 1st quarter, and outscored Tekamah-Herman 29-5 in the 2nd quarter to take a 52-5 lead into the locker room.

Wisner-Pilger won the 3rd quarter 13-1 to go up 65-6 after three.

The Gators blanked the Tigers 9-0 in the 4th quarter.

Great win for Wisner-Pilger. The Gators did more than just win impressively.

Wisner-Pilger (2-1) takes on Oakland-Craig (3-2) at home Thursday night.

The Knights topped the Jaguars 49-45 at home on Saturday.

This should be a great game between two very good teams who will look to get after one another.

It's the likes of Jayden Raabe, Keegan Ruskamp, Hunter Waterman, Gunner Labenz, and others going up against the likes of Kobe Benne, Garrison Dodge, Wyatt Seagren, Jared Mulder, Robby Mayberry and others.

I look for both teams to score a lot of points and play up to their full potential.

I think the game could very well come down to the wire and be decided in the final minutes.

I feel the Gators have a good chance to win being as they're at home, but don't count out Oakland-Craig by any means.

This is a chance for Wisner-Pilger to make a big statement though.

I feel this Gator team is legit, but Wisner-Pilger hasn't beaten anyone with a winning record yet so some people may think the jury is still out on them.

The Gators have the Knights on Thursday and Wayne on Friday so this is Wisner-Pilger's chance to make a big statement.

I look for the Gators to play two great games this week, and put themselves in a good position to pick up two wins.

Imagine how dangerous and explosive Wisner-Pilger would be if they still had Korrell Koehlmoos.

This Gator team is already explosive and dynamic without him though.

Wisner-Pilger has to keep winning and impressing.

If the Gators keep doing that then they should put themselves in a good position to do damage in the postseason.

I feel Wisner-Pilger has a chance to get to a district final and make state this year, but first things first, the Gators have to worry about taking care of business against Oakland-Craig on Thursday, and then Wayne on Friday.

It should be a great game and atmosphere, and I look for both teams to put forth their best effort and really go at one another.

Defense is going to be very important for Wisner-Pilger if they want to win, in my opinion.

The Wisner-Pilger Girls Basketball Team topped Tekamah-Herman 59-23 on the road Friday night.

I was very impressed with the win by the Gators.

Wisner-Pilger (2-1) hosts Oakland-Craig (3-2) Thursday night.

The Knights lost 56-43 at home to Howells-Dodge on Saturday.

This should be a great and intriguing game.

Both teams appear to be strong defensively with the Gators perhaps being a bit stronger on offense.

It's no secret that Oakland-Craig is without Dacey Nelson due to a torn ACL, and that makes a big difference for the Knights.

Wisner-Pilger is battling injuries as well from what I understand so both of these teams should be pretty even from that standpoint.

I look for this game to be very close and competitive with the winner winning by single digits.

I don't think this game will be decided by double digits as I feel both teams are too equal to blow one another out.

This is a big game for the Gators with Wayne coming up on Friday.

Both of these games this week are huge for Wisner-Pilger, and I fully expect the Gators to be amped and ready for both teams.

Like the boys, this week is a huge statement opportunity for Wisner-Pilger.

I think the Gators have a great opportunity to prove that they are a team to be reckoned with in the conference and elsewhere.

I look for Wisner-Pilger to play two great games on Thursday and Friday, and perhaps pull out a couple of wins.

The Blue Devils figure to be very tough, especially with the game being at their place.

The game with the Knights might be a little easier with the Gators being rested up, Oakland-Craig playing a bunch of games recently, and the game being in Wisner.

I think all of those things could yield a victory for Wisner-Pilger.

The Gators have to focus on slowing down everyone besides Kennedy Benne or perhaps just Kennedy Benne herself.

The last thing Wisner-Pilger wants is for her to go off for 25 and for a couple other girls to reach double figures.
