The Mustangs led 36-27 in the 4th quarter before Tekamah-Herman went on a 9-0 run to tie the game in the final stanza.
The game was tied at 37 with 4.1 seconds left when Larson threw up his desperation heave that went in at the buzzer. Tekamah-Herman Head Coach Zach Rosenboom said it was a hard fought game.
"I mean both teams were playing hard. Both teams wanted to win. And just so happened on that last second shot. Well beyond the three-point line. And just a prayer. And went on in."
The Tigers were paced by Brock Rogers, who had a team-high 11 points, including 9 in the 4th quarter.
Tekamah-Herman falls to 0-2 and hosts Wisner-Pilger (2-0) on Friday.
The Gators downed GACC 69-47 on the road Friday night in action that was aired on the Bull.
"Wisner's always really well coached. Obviously Hall of Fame Coach works hard and gets those guys playing, and he does a really good job. And it's always a fun matchup." Rosenboom said.
The Tigers have to come out and play inspired and motivated given what happened on Saturday.
Tekamah-Herman has to use the tough break and loss to the Gators as motivation and fuel to the fire.
The loss can't affect the Tigers the opposite or in a negative way.
Tekamah-Herman has to learn, grow, and build from it as tough as it was.
The Tigers have some games on the horizon that look like they could be definite wins so even if Tekamah-Herman doesn't get this one the next two look good.
By no means should the Tigers concede defeat to Wisner-Pilger though.
Tekamah-Herman has to come out and play well and expect to win Friday night.
The Gators are a great team and it won't be easy to beat them, but the Tigers have to give it their all and fight hard.
Tekamah-Herman has to be confident when they shoot and watch the ball go in the basket.
The Tigers need to follow their shot and hit free throws and limit turnovers.
Contesting shots and rebounding and boxing out well will be big for Tekamah-Herman also, in my opinion.
The Tigers have to give things their best shot Friday night, play their hardest, give it their all, and lay it all out on the line.
Tekamah-Herman has to get pumped up, and cut to the basket and screen hard.
The Tigers have to be physical and block shots as well as stay out of foul trouble.
Tekamah-Herman has to try and stop dribble penetration and the mid-range game of Dylan Kneifl.
If the Tigers can keep up with Wisner-Pilger offensively then this could be a great game.
The Tekamah-Herman Girls lost 56-39 at Pender Friday night in the season opener before winning 30-24 at home over Stanton Saturday in action aired on 107.9 the Bull. The Tigers then won 28-25 at DC West Tuesday night as Greta Lindberg hit the game-winning three with less than a second left.

Tekamah-Herman saved their best for last though, outscoring the Mustangs 10-3 in the 4th quarter to earn their first win of the season.
Tekamah-Herman Head Coach David Eriksen says it was a hard fought win. "Yeah it's a great win. The girls came out, they had a lot of energy. Unfortunately, we weren't executing there in the first couple minutes there, and that's why we had such a tight game. But Stanton played hard, Tekamah played hard. And it's just a good win for the girls."
Anna Wakehouse led the Tigers with a team-high 9 points while Maggie Sheets scored 8, all in the second half.
The Falcons led 5-3 after one. Tekamah-Herman won the 2nd quarter 8-7 to make it a 12-11 game at halftime.
DC West won the 3rd quarter 5-3 to extend their lead to 17-14 at the end of three.
The Tigers outscored the Falcons 14-8 in the 4th quarter.
A couple of big and nice wins for Tekamah-Herman on Saturday and Tuesday.
The Tigers (2-1) host Wisner-Pilger (0-2) Friday night.
The Gators lost 61-11 at GACC this past Friday.
I think Tekamah-Herman has a chance to win their 3rd straight in grind it out, low scoring, and defensive fashion.
I totally expect the scoring and defense to be tough in this game as well.
I think the first team to 30 could very well win the game.
The Tigers aren't winning pretty, but they're winning.
All that matters at the end of the day when you win is that you won, not how you did it.
Tekamah-Herman has to keep the positive momentum going and keep the ball rolling Friday night.
I feel like the Tigers have a great chance to do some damage prior to Christmas.
It has been a good start for Tekamah-Herman, and the Tigers are winning the close games.
I really feel like Tekamah-Herman has turned the corner and has a chance to go somewhere this season.
The Tigers have to keep playing hard and well and see where that takes them.
Tekamah-Herman beat the Mustangs despite the fact that Jadyn Fleischman was out a good chunk of the game due to foul trouble.
The Tigers have a much more difficult schedule in the second part of the season, but this early season success has been very impressive.
Tekamah-Herman has to keep winning and give themselves the confidence necessary to compete with and ultimately beat the tough and stout competition, great teams on their schedule.
The Tigers could be halfway to the win total in each of the last two years, and if Tekamah-Herman can get to 3-1 it would be a big deal.
Success in the early season often can lead to success later on in the season and the Tigers appear to be doing the right things so far.
Tekamah-Herman has to keep it up and can't let up.
The Tigers have to keep the pedal to the metal, and keep on keepin' on and pressing forward in a positive direction.
