BRLD Boys and Girls beat Emerson-Hubbard
The BRLD Boys Basketball Team beat Omaha Nation 48-47 on the road Thursday night before winning 61-22 at home over Emerson-Hubbard Tuesday night.
The Wolverines led the Pirates 17-0 after one and quadrupled up Emerson-Hubbard 16-4 in the 2nd quarter to take a 33-4 lead into the locker room.
BRLD tripled up the Pirates 18-6 in the 3rd quarter to go up 51-10 at the end of three.
Emerson-Hubbard won the 4th quarter 12-10.
Scary game Thursday night and a close call for the Wolverines, but what a great performance Tuesday night.
BRLD (2-0) hosts Walthill (2-0) Thursday night.
The Blujays won 68-62 at Winnebago Friday night.
This is a big game, especially considering both teams are in the same Sub-District.
The Wolverines have to come out amped up and ready to go and play.
BRLD had their scare and tune up game, now comes the real fun.
This is another tough, stingy test for the Wolverines.
BRLD has to come out ready to play well from the start much like they did against Emerson-Hubbard.
The Wolverines have to be on top of their game, and must take the fight to the Blujays from start to finish.
BRLD has to be up tempo, and must get out in transition and run.
The Wolverines have to press relentlessly and create turnovers.
BRLD has to refuse to lose, and must play with the heart of a champion and the epitome of an athlete.
The fans have to really get into this one and create a great atmosphere.
This should be a great high school basketball game, and I'm very excited to see how things turn out and how it happens.
The Wolverines have to play extremely well and at a really high level.
BRLD has to play as if it is a postseason game because emulating that postseason feel is everything, in my opinion.
The Wolverines have to play hard, smart, physical, and tenacious.
BRLD knows what's expected of them, and has to come out and perform.
There's no reason why the Wolverines shouldn't win.
BRLD is a great team and program, and has to exemplify that with their play Thursday night.
The Wolverines have to be ready to play a great game, and cannot afford to let up at any point in the contest.
The BRLD Girls hammered Omaha Nation 76-38 on the road Thursday night and Emerson-Hubbard 71-20 at home Tuesday night.
The Wolverines led the Chiefs 29-13 after one, and outscored Omaha Nation 17-6 in the 2nd quarter to take a 46-19 lead into the locker room.
BRLD won the 3rd quarter 17-10 to go up 63-29 at the end of three.
The Wolverines also won the 4th quarter 13-9.
Great, dominating start to the season for BRLD.
The Wolverines (2-0) host Walthill (1-1) Thursday night.
The Blujays lost 60-46 at Winnebago Friday night.
This another game BRLD should come out and not only win, but dominate.
The Wolverines have to show a lot of fight and might from the get go, and must execute in all facets of the game to come out on top.
BRLD has to knock down perimeter jump shots and attack the basket as well.
The Wolverines have to toughen and tighten up defensively much like they did the first two games of the season.
BRLD simply has to do what they did in their first two contests and they should be fine.
The Wolverines have to take the fight to Walthill, and take it to the Blujays for four quarters.
BRLD has to be relentless with their attack, and has to be punishing offensively and defensively.
The Wolverines have Clarkson/Leigh on the road Friday night so BRLD has to come out and be sharp Thursday night.
The Wolverines can't afford to be looking ahead to the Patriots either.
Clarkson/Leigh is a really good team, but Walthill is the only opponent BRLD should be worried about at the moment.
The Wolverines can't hold anything back against the Blujays, yet I'm sure BRLD would like to rest starters and get backups some good valuable playing time and minutes again.
The Wolverines have to continue to play sharp basketball, and must continue to play the game the right way.
BRLD has to keep working hard, and has to be smart when going about it.
The Wolverines have to play Walthill tough, and wreak havoc on the Blujays.
BRLD has to run and gun, and look to score and get as many stops as possible.
The Wolverines have to be on top of their game, and must play the way they have the first two games of the season.
