North Bend Central Boys and Girls beat Twin River and Schuyler

The North Bend Central Boys won 73-42 at home against Twin River Thursday night before winning 57-16 at Schuyler Tuesday night.

The Tigers tripled up the Titans 21-7 in the 1st quarter and 14-7 in the 2nd quarter to take a 35-14 lead into the locker room.

North Bend Central outscored Twin River 19-11 in the 3rd quarter to go up 54-25 at the end of three.

The Tigers won the 4th quarter 19-17.

Tanner Wietfeld had 18 points while Chase Ruzicka had 15. Breckin Peters added 9 while Austin Endorf and Jaxon Wietfeld totaled 7 each.

North Bend Central quadrupled up the Warriors 16-4 in the 1st quarter, and outscored Schuyler 20-4 in the 2nd quarter to take a 36-8 lead into the locker room.

The Tigers won the 3rd quarter 14-6 to go up 50-14 at the end of three.

North Bend Central won the 4th quarter 7-2.

Two nice wins for the Tigers to start the season. It's the type of start North Bend Central was hoping for and expecting I'm sure.

The Tigers (2-0) host West Point-Beemer (2-0) Thursday night.

The Cadets won 51-41 at Stanton Tuesday night.

It has been a good start to the season for West Point-Beemer.

With that said, this is the Cadets' first true real test and West Point-Beemer hasn't played anyone quite near as good as North Bend Central yet.

The Tigers are the more veteran laden and experienced team, and have to come out and dominate from start to finish.

North Bend Central has to do what they did at last year's East Husker Conference Tournament against West Point-Beemer.

The Tigers have to be focused, must have a good game plan, and must come out ready to take the fight to the Cadets from start to finish.

North Bend Central has to be all business like, and must bring their "A" game.

This figures to be one of the Tigers' toughest tests of the season.

West Point-Beemer is a quality basketball team, and won't go down without a fight.

You can bet North Bend Central will get the Cadets' best shot.

Tanner Wietfeld, Ruzicka, and others have to be on top of their game offensively.

The Tigers have been very impressive on both sides of the ball so far this season, and I look for that to continue Thursday night.

North Bend Central has to come out guns a blazin' Thursday night and never look back.

The Tigers have to jump on the Cadets and keep pouring it on if they get out to a lead.

North Bend Central has to be relentless with their pressure and attack, and must be suffocating defensively.

The Tigers have to turn in a championship like performance Thursday night, and show why they as good as advertised.

It's the only game of the week for North Bend Central so the Tigers should be extra focused if that's realistic and applicable to say.

The North Bend Central Girls beat Twin River 40-35 at home Thursday night before winning 46-16 at Schuyler Tuesday night.

The Titans led 11-9 after one before the Tigers won the 2nd quarter 13-11 to tie the game at 22 at halftime.

North Bend Central won the 3rd quarter 7-5 to go up 29-27 at the end of three.

The Tigers outscored Twin River 11-8 in the 4th quarter

North Bend Central led the Warriors 13-5 after one, and outscored Schuyler 12-1 in the 2nd quarter to take a 25-6 lead into the locker room.

The Tigers outscored the Warriors 15-8 in the 3rd quarter to go up 40-14 at the end of three.

North Bend Central tripled up Schuyler 6-2 in the 4th quarter.

Nice wins for the Tigers to open up the season.

North Bend Central (2-0) hosts West Point-Beemer (2-0) Thursday night.

The Cadets won 38-28 at Stanton Tuesday night.

West Point-Beemer is certainly a very good team, but the Tigers have been tough so far this season too.

North Bend Central has been pretty dang good considering how much talent they lost to graduation last year.

It's as if the Tigers haven't missed a beat.

This will be a very tough test for North Bend Central though.

The Cadets are probably the Tigers' biggest Sub-District threat, and a win over them would be huge for mental purposes.

I'm sure these girls know and believe already that they can beat West Point-Beemer, but to go out and actually do it this year would be a great accomplishment for this team.

It would give North Bend Central the confidence and belief that they can beat the Cadets and hang with the best of the best if they don't believe that already.

The Tigers have to keep playing tough, strong defense, and have to contest shots from the outside and rebound well.

Lauren Emanuel has to be a beast on the boards, and must keep West Point-Beemer away from rebounds.

North Bend Central also has to attack, and go right at this Cadet team.

If the Tigers can get West Point-Beemer in foul trouble it could really be to their advantage.

I think North Bend Central can win, but predicting who's going to win and lose exactly is tough to do given the early nature of the season.

I think the Tigers can win, but the Cadets figure to be awfully tough.

I think being at home is an advantage for North Bend Central though.

Either way it should be a great battle, and it's honestly one of those games where you hate to see somebody lose.

The Tigers have a lot to gain and nothing to lose in this one really so North Bend Central has to go out there and give things their best shot and see what happens.
