Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Boys beat Oakland-Craig and Wayne; Girls fall to both

The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Boys are 2-0 to start the season, beating Oakland-Craig 56-47 at home Thursday night before winning 44-41 at Wayne Tuesday night.

The Raiders led the Knights 15-12 after one, and outscored Oakland-Craig 14-10 in the 2nd quarter to take a 29-22 lead into the locker room.

The Knights won the 3rd quarter 13-11 to make it a 40-35 game at the end of three.

LVSS won the 4th quarter 16-12.

Connor Larson led the way with 13 points while Trystain Roseberry recorded 12. Garrett Palmer added 12 while Austin Peters notched 9. Nathan Wacker pitched in 7 rebounds.

The Raiders led the Blue Devils 24-19 at halftime, and outscored them 10-4 in the 3rd quarter to go up 34-23 at the end of three.

Wayne outscored LVSS 18-10 in the 4th quarter.

Roseberry led the way with 18 points while Hoetfelker and Palmer notched 8 and 7, respectively.

Two great and big wins for the Raiders to start the season.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (2-0) hosts Twin River (0-2) Friday night.

The Titans lost 49-46 at Lutheran High Northeast Tuesday night.

Twin River will be tough and come ready to play I'm sure.

If the Raiders play up to their potential and capability though I think they will win.

LVSS has been a very nice surprise story so far this season, and it's really great and encouraging to see what they are doing.

The Raiders are young, but you couldn't tell by their performance so far this season.

It all starts on the defensive end of the floor, and it seems like LVSS has embraced that challenge and aspect of things.

The Raiders have to keep playing tough, tenacious defense like they have through the first couple of games this season.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has Wahoo at home on Saturday as well so big time opportunities for the Raiders on Friday and Saturday.

LVSS has to step up to the challenge and perform and play well.

The Raiders have to play up to their potential, and give it all they got for four quarters.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has to remain hungry and humble and willing to learn.

The Raiders have to remember the things that got them to where they're at and must keep building on them.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder is doing great things so far, and has to keep it up.

The Raiders are a tough team, resilient it appears.

And for this team to go into Wayne and win is really saying something.

LVSS should be awfully proud of what they've accomplished so far, but understand that the job is not done yet.

The Raiders have a lot of room for improvement though, and must continue on their daily grind of improving and getting better.

A win over the Titans would no doubt set the stage for a potential breakthrough on Saturday.

The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Girls are off to a slow start as the Raiders lost 65-32 at home to Oakland-Craig Thursday night before falling 72-43 at Wayne Tuesday night.

The Knights led 17-5 after one and outscored Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 21-6 in the 2nd quarter to take a 38-11 lead into the locker room.

Oakland-Craig won the 3rd quarter 13-10 to extend their lead to 51-21 at the end of three.

The Knights won the 4th quarter 14-11.

Valerie Uehling led the Raiders with 11 points while Shaylin Daugherty had 10 rebounds.

The Blue Devils led 25-8 after one and won the 2nd quarter 14-9 to take a 39-17 lead into the locker room.

LVSS won the 3rd quarter 16-14 to make it a 53-33 game at the end of three.

Wayne outscored the Raiders 19-10 in the 4th quarter.

Uehling registered 15 points while Josie Kahlandt had 13. Daugherty recorded 9 rebounds.

Tough and slow start to the year for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.

The Raiders (0-2) host Cedar Bluffs Thursday night in action that will be aired on 107.9 the Bull.

LVSS won last year's game 52-25 if that's a sign of things to come for this year also.

I'm anxious to see if the Raiders can win their first game of the year.

I think they can and will, but I expect the Wildcats to battle hard.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder could really use a win, especially heading into the Twin River game Friday night.

The first two games of the season were real tough on the Raiders, and they could really use some positive momentum for sure.

I look for LVSS to get that in the form of a win Thursday night.

This is a game the Raiders have to come out and build a big lead in and put things away.

This game has a chance to be a feel good win for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, in my opinion.

One of those games where you get the monkey off your back.

I'm personally looking forward to calling and broadcasting the game, and so I hope that you will listen along.

It wouldn't surprise me if everyone for both teams got in the game and got ample playing time.

The Raiders have gotten pretty much everyone some great experience so far this season, and I look for that to continue Thursday night.

Though it may not have been the type of experience Logan View/Scribner-Snyder wanted the first two games, I feel the Raiders will get some good playing experience for their backups Thursday night.

It should be a fun game to call and broadcast, and I'm really looking forward to it.

I look for Uehling, Kahlandt, and Daugherty to have big games.

If Daugherty can become a big offensive weapon as well then lookout for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.

The game is a girls only game and it will tip-off at 7:00 p.m. on the Bull from rural Hooper. Pregame will start around 6:45 or so.
