Tekamah-Herman Boys and Girls winless in last three contests

The Tekamah-Herman Boys Basketball Team lost 84-24 at Wisner-Pilger Friday night, 68-38 at Twin River on Saturday, and 80-22 at Yutan Tuesday night.

The Gators led 34-13 after one, and outscored the Tigers 24-6 in the 2nd quarter to take a 58-19 lead into the locker room.

Wisner-Pilger outscored Tekamah-Herman 14-2 in the 3rd quarter to go up 72-21 at the end of three.

The Gators quadrupled up the Tigers 12-3 in the 4th quarter.

The Chieftains led 28-2 at the end of one and outscored Tekamah-Herman 25-9 in the 2nd quarter to take a 53-11 lead into the locker room.

Yutan quadrupled up the Tigers 16-4 in the 3rd quarter to go up 69-15 at the end of three.

The Chieftains won the 4th quarter 11-7.

I thought Tekamah-Herman played better on Saturday than they did on Friday and Tuesday, but still difficult losses to take nonetheless.

The Tigers (0-5) take on Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (3-2) on the road Friday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

The Raiders won 46-41 at home over Columbus Lakeview Tuesday night.

LVSS doesn't appear as dynamic as they have been the past couple of years, but the Raiders are still a very good, fundamentally sound Basketball team.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder had a tough loss to Twin River Friday night and was blown out by Wahoo on Saturday otherwise they have played well.

This is an opportunity for Tekamah-Herman to do well and close the gap though, in my opinion.

The Tigers played better against the Titans than they did Friday and Tuesday I would say so perhaps based on the result of the Twin River/LVSS game and Saturday's Tekamah-Herman/Twin River game, the Tigers are optimistic heading into Friday night's game.

Tekamah-Herman is facing a young Raider squad so the Tigers shouldn't be scared of or intimidated by Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.

The Tigers have to play good, fundamental, sound basketball, and find ways to get stops and put the ball in the basket.

Tekamah-Herman needs their leaders to step up and put this team on their shoulders.

Players like Alex Camp need to provide a scoring punch on the inside if he hasn't already, and the guards have to knock down shots as well.

The Tigers have to stop dribble penetration and contest shots defensively.

Tekamah-Herman has to play their hearts out and maximize their abilities Friday night.

The Tigers have some games coming up they could potentially win, or at least play better in, before Christmas Break.

Tekamah-Herman has Arlington on Saturday and Omaha Brownell-Talbot next Thursday so we'll see what the Tigers can do in their rest of their games leading up to Christmas.

A good outing and effort Friday night would go a long ways in making the other two games successful I would say.

Friday night's game will be played in Scribner and aired on the Bull after the Girls game, which is slated to begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Tekamah-Herman Girls lost 32-25 at Wisner-Pilger Friday night, 57-13 at Twin River on Saturday, and 52-20 at Yutan Tuesday night.

The Gators led 4-3 after one, and outscored the Tigers 9-2 in the 2nd quarter to take a 13-5 lead into the locker room.

Wisner-Pilger doubled up Tekamah-Herman 10-5 in the 3rd quarter to go up 23-10 at the end of three.

The Tigers outscored the Gators 15-9 in the 4th quarter.

The Titans led 14-5 at the end of one and won the 2nd quarter 13-6 to take a 27-11 lead into the locker room.

Twin River outscored Tekamah-Herman 20-2 in the 3rd quarter to go up 47-13 at the end of three.

The Titans blanked the Tigers 10-0 in the 4th quarter.

The Chieftains led 9-4 after one, and outscored Tekamah-Herman 19-7 in the 2nd quarter to take a 28-11 lead into the locker room.

Yutan outscored the Tigers 13-4 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 41-15 at the end of three.

The Chieftains won the 4th quarter 11-5.

Tekamah-Herman really struggles to score, but their defense was very good against Wisner-Pilger.

The Tigers (1-5) take on Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (1-4) on the road Friday night in action that will be carried on 107.9 the Bull.

The Raiders lost 39-26 at home to Columbus Lakeview Tuesday night.

I look at this game as a good opportunity for Tekamah-Herman to pick up a win.

I know the Tigers have really struggled lately, but Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has had their own issues offensively.

This should be a good, low scoring defensive battle to say the very least.

I'm just curious and interested to see if Tekamah-Herman can score enough to win.

I have no doubt the Tigers can do well defensively, but Tekamah-Herman needs to kick the offense into high gear.

The Tigers have another winnable game on Saturday against Arlington so I'm curious and interested to see how Tekamah-Herman does this weekend.

I think the Tigers have a lot of potential and a great opportunity in front of them, but we will see if Tekamah-Herman can produce enough offense to get the job done.

The Raiders are a very sound, good defensive team while the Eagles have struggled defensively so we'll see if the Tigers can get something going offensively on Friday and carry it over to Saturday.

I think Tekamah-Herman has the ability to win both games this weekend, but the Tigers need to perform well and at a high level.

Tekamah-Herman has to take good shots and set their feet when they shoot.

Doing the fundamental things like squaring up to the basket can make a big difference.

The Tigers also have to guard the perimeter and stop dribble penetration.

Limiting points on the inside and forcing teams to make perimeter shots should be a focus for Tekamah-Herman as well.

Friday night's game will be aired on the Bull and is slated to start at 6:30 p.m. in Scribner.

It should be an outstanding game between two teams really trying to find an identity offensively.
