Great job by BRLD winning the Conference Tournament for the 3rd straight year and beating the Gators.

The Wolverines (13-3) host Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (15-3) Friday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

The Raiders won 43-40 at home over Louisville Friday night.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's last two games have been cancelled due to COVID-19 so hopefully the Raiders are able to play this game.

You have to wonder how fresh the Raiders will be if they play too so that should be to BRLD's advantage.

The Wolverines can definitely relate to missing games due to the coronavirus.

BRLD has a tough game on Saturday against Auburn at the Heartland Hoops Classic in Grand Island.

That game will certainly be interesting, but the Wolverines have their hands full and a battle on Friday against LVSS to focus on first.

The BRLD Girls beat Oakland-Craig 50-40 in the East Husker Conference Tournament Semifinals at Midland Friday afternoon in action aired on 107.9 the Bull before winning 56-53 over West Point-Beemer in Saturday's Championship Game also aired on the Bull. The Wolverines then won 56-36 at Wisner-Pilger Tuesday night.

Jordan Snyder had 16 points and 7 rebounds against the Knights while Caragan Tietz notched 16 points. Alyssa Buchholz added 7.

The West Point-Beemer game was close throughout, with BRLD leading 16-12 after the first quarter, and the score would end up tied at 23-23 heading into halftime.

The Wolverines hit their stride on offense in the third period, outscoring the Cadets 20-12, and BRLD led 43-35.

West Point-Beemer outscored BRLD 18-13 in the fourth quarter, and would eventually take the lead, but BRLD was able to hang on late for the win.

Snyder dominated in the post for BRLD and finished with 22 points and 10 rebounds, good enough for a double-double. Tietz chipped in 12 points while Aubrey Berg scored 8.

The Wolverines led 14-10 after one, and outscored the Gators 21-9 in the 2nd quarter to take a 35-19 lead into the locker room.

BRLD won the 3rd quarter 17-12 to extend their lead to 52-31 at the end of three.

Wisner-Pilger won the 4th quarter 12-11.

Snyder had a double-double of 17 points and 11 rebounds while Tietz and Berg notched 16 and 8 points, respectively.

The Wolverines are playing very good basketball right now.

BRLD (16-4) wraps up the regular season at home Friday night against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (8-13) in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

The Raiders won 63-10 at Boys Town Thursday night.

LVSS is improved, but the Wolverines should still win handily.

BRLD has their sights set on a return trip to State, and needs another double digit win come Friday night.

Sub-Districts start next week, and the Wolverines are certainly playing their best basketball at the right time.

Hopefully BRLD can continue it and keep it up and make a return trip to State this year.

That would certainly be a great and huge accomplishment for the Wolverines if they could make it happen.
