Zulkoski had a team-high 13 points while Hays posted 12. Kasik added 8 while Hanel and Whitmore pulled down 10 and 7 rebounds, respectively.
Great effort and performance in both games from Clarkson/Leigh. To have a lead going into the 4th quarter against the Bulldogs is really saying something.
The Patriots (9-7) take on Howells-Dodge (13-6) in an EHC Tournament Consolation Game at Howells Friday night.
The Jaguars fell 59-40 to BRLD in the Quarterfinals at Oakland-Craig in action aired on 107.9 the Bull Tuesday night.
Howells-Dodge beat Clarkson/Leigh 66-35 in Clarkson on December 19th.
The Patriots have come a long ways since that time, however.
Clarkson/Leigh is a much better and different team than they were then.
So if you're the Patriots you almost throw that loss out the window, don't you?
I mean given the way you're playing now it's almost as if Clarkson/Leigh has started over.
This should be a heck of a game that goes down to the wire.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Howells.
The Clarkson/Leigh Girls were upset 54-40 at home by Oakland-Craig in the East Husker Conference Tournament Quarterfinals Monday night.

Oakland-Craig outscored Clarkson/Leigh 18-10 in the 3rd quarter to go up 40-33 at the end of three.
The Knights doubled up the Patriots 14-7 in the 4th quarter.
Kayden Schumacher had a team-high 11 points while Chloe Hanel was also in double figures with 10. Kennedy Settje and Alissa Kasik notched 7 apiece.
I don't know if many people saw this one coming.
Clarkson/Leigh (16-1) battles Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family (15-3) in an EHC Consolation Game in Leigh Friday night.
The Bulldogs lost 48-42 to BRLD in the Quarterfinals in Leigh Monday night.
The Patriots beat H/LHF 51-42 on the road in the season opener.
I feel like both teams have gotten equally better since that time.
I feel like this game could go either way, but think Clarkson/Leigh could very well pick up another win over the Bulldogs.
I think H/LHF will have an easier time getting up for this game than the Patriots though.
Reason being Clarkson/Leigh had high aspirations for making it far in the tournament being the number one seed and all, but was upset.
Not to say that the Bulldogs didn't either as I'm sure they expected to be at Midland, but I think they'll have an easier time putting their Quarterfinal loss behind them than the Patriots will.
With that said, I expect Clarkson/Leigh to have a quick memory and come out and play well Friday night.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
