The North Bend Central Boys fell 62-54 to Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family in the East Husker Conference Tournament Semifinals at Midland Friday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull before winning 58-49 over Oakland-Craig in the 3rd place game Saturday afternoon in action also aired on the Bull. NBC then won 75-54 at Tekamah-Herman Tuesday night in action also aired on the Bull.

The Tigers jumped out to a 25-12 lead on the Bulldogs at the end of one. H/LHF outscored North Bend Central 17-9 in the 2nd quarter to make it a 34-29 game at halftime.

North Bend Central jumped out to a 19-3 lead on the Knights after one. Oakland-Craig won the 2nd quarter 19-15 to make it a 34-22 game at the half.

The Knights outscored the Tigers 19-11 in the 3rd quarter to close within 4 at 45-41 at the end of three.

Tekamah-Herman won the 4th quarter 19-14.

Wietfeld had 24 points for NBC with Breckin Peters and Hellbusch each scoring 12.

Two good games following the loss to the Bulldogs.

North Bend Central (14-4) plays host to Howells-Dodge (14-6) Thursday night.

The Jaguars won 57-41 at home over Clarkson/Leigh in an EHC Consolation Game Friday night.

Howells-Dodge is having a nice season and is a tough team.

This is an interesting game for me.

The Tigers should win being the bigger school and everything, but the Jaguars are the real deal.

Howells-Dodge has more to gain in this game than NBC does.

The Tigers might have more to lose than the Jaguars in this game as well.

That simply means North Bend Central will have to come out and play their game and execute.

I see the Tigers prevailing in a close game perhaps, but the game could honestly and truly go either way.

The North Bend Central Girls fell 57-46 to West Point-Beemer in the East Husker Conference Tournament Semifinals at Midland Friday afternoon in action aired on 107.9 the Bull before winning 59-36 over Oakland-Craig in the 3rd place game at Midland on Saturday in action also aired on the Bull. NBC then won 72-41 at Tekamah-Herman Tuesday night in action also aired on the Bull.

The Cadets got out to a 17-9 lead after one. The Tigers won the 2nd quarter 12-9 to make it a 26-21 game at halftime.

West Point-Beemer won the 3rd quarter 15-10 to extend their lead to 41-31 at the end of three.

The Cadets won the 4th quarter 16-15.

Kaitlyn Emanuel had 17 points and 9 rebounds while Cierra Kluthe totaled 11 points and 8 rebounds.

Against the Knights, Emanuel posted 22 points and 7 rebounds while Sydney Emanuel totaled 11 points. Kluthe chipped in 8.

NBC led Tekamah-Herman 20-12 at the end of one, and outscored them 19-10 in the 2nd quarter to take a 39-22 lead into the locker room.

North Bend Central outscored Tekamah-Herman 19-6 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 58-28 at the end of three.

NBC won the 4th quarter 14-13.

Kaitlyn Emanuel had 24 points for NBC with Kluthe adding 14.

Two very strong performances following the loss to the Cadets.

The Tigers (16-3) host Howells-Dodge (10-11) Thursday night.

The Jaguars lost 68-44 to Pender in an EHC Tournament Consolation Game in Leigh Friday night.

North Bend Central routed Howells-Dodge 60-25 in the EHC Tournament Quarterfinals at home last Monday night in action also aired on the Bull.

This game with the Jaguars and Friday's makeup game against Wayne should both be big wins for the Tigers.

North Bend Central will be hosting Sub-Districts it appears, and may not be challenged again until the Sub-District Final against either West Point-Beemer or Oakland-Craig.

Could be interesting if it's the Cadets, which is why the Tigers have to play really well in their next three games and not let their foot off the gas pedal.

North Bend Central has a lot to gain and do yet this season as their work is not yet done or complete.
