Clarkson/Leigh Girls beat Stanton in Sub-Districts

The Clarkson/Leigh Girls won 41-16 at home over Stanton in the C2-6 Sub-District Semifinals Tuesday night.

The Patriots led 10-6 after one, and blanked the Mustangs 5-0 in the 2nd quarter to take a 15-6 lead into the locker room.

Clarkson/Leigh outscored Stanton 15-6 in the 3rd quarter to go up 30-12 at the end of three.

The Patriots outscored the Mustangs 11-4 in the 4th quarter.

Chloe Hanel had 14 points while Alissa Kasik totaled 10. Kennedy Settje notched 7.

Good job by Clarkson/Leigh of taking care of business against Stanton.

The Patriots (20-1) take on Norfolk Catholic (11-11) in the C2-6 Sub-District Final from Clarkson Thursday night.

The Knights knocked off Lutheran High Northeast 49-36 in Tuesday night's Semifinals.

This matchup doesn't surprise me.

I kind of thought Norfolk Catholic might win over the Eagles.

This will be a tough game for Clarkson/Leigh no doubt.

The Knights are a tough, tradition rich program and will give the Patriots their best shot for sure.

The game is in Clarkson though and I feel that's a big advantage for Clarkson/Leigh.

The Patriots should come through on Thursday, especially since the game is on their home court, yet at the same time have to be wary of Norfolk Catholic.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. in Clarkson.
