Wisner-Pilger Boys and Girls fall at home to BRLD

The Wisner-Pilger Boys fell 63-43 at home to BRLD Tuesday night.

The Wolverines led 14-10 after one, and outscored the Gators 21-9 in the 2nd quarter to take a 35-19 lead into the locker room.

BRLD won the 3rd quarter 17-12 to extend their lead to 52-31 at the end of three.

Wisner-Pilger won the 4th quarter 12-11.

The Gators (7-12) take on Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (12-9) on the road Thursday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

The Bears fell 66-62 to Walthill in the Lewis and Clark Conference Tournament 3rd place game at Hartington Cedar Catholic on Saturday.

It doesn't figure to be an easy game for Wisner-Pilger by any stretch of the imagination.

The Gators are going to have to play very well in this one in order to pick up the win.

It can definitely happen for Wisner-Pilger, but it won't be easy.

The Gators have to play hard nosed and physical, and must play tight, in your face defense as much as possible.

Wisner-Pilger has to look to create turnovers and get out and run in transition.

The Gators must execute the offense and make the easy shots and shoot well from the free throw line as well.

This game has a chance to be one to remember for Wisner-Pilger, but it all depends on the Gators and how well they play and how badly they want it.

Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on the Bull.

The Wisner-Pilger Girls fell 56-36 at home to BRLD Tuesday night.

The Wolverines got out to a 15-10 lead after one, and tripled up the Gators 18-6 in the 2nd quarter to take a 33-16 lead into the locker room.

BRLD won the 3rd quarter 17-11 to increase their lead to 50-27 at the end of three.

Wisner-Pilger won the 4th quarter 9-6.

I thought the Gators did a nice job of keeping this one closer than it could of been.

Wisner-Pilger (7-13) takes on Laurel-Concord-Coleridge (8-12) on the road Thursday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

The Bears won 53-42 over Osmond in the 3rd place game of the Lewis and Clark Conference Tournament at Hartington-Newcastle Friday night.

I look for this to be a good game and for the Gators to hold their own against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge.

I think this is one of those games that has a chance to go well for Wisner-Pilger.

The Gators have dropped four in a row after upsetting Pender though.

That and it's their final game before Sub-Districts begin.

Wisner-Pilger will likely play Howells-Dodge in their first Sub-District game at GACC so the Gators need to play well Thursday night to give themselves a confidence and momentum booster heading into the postseason.

Should be a fun one in Laurel Thursday night.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. on the Bull.
