Tekamah-Herman Boys lose to North Bend Central and Fort Calhoun; Girls fall to Omaha Mercy and NBC

The Tekamah-Herman Boys fell 75-54 at home to North Bend Central Tuesday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull before falling 76-50 at Fort Calhoun Thursday night.

North Bend Central led Tekamah-Herman 25-9 at the end of one, and won the 2nd quarter 17-15 to take a 42-24 lead into the locker room.

NBC outscored Tekamah-Herman 19-11 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 61-35 at the end of three.

Tekamah-Herman won the 4th quarter 19-14.

Brock Rogers led T-H with 20 points and Jed Hoover added 16 off the bench. Kaleb Quick added 8.

The Pioneers led the Tigers 20-14 at the end of one. Fort Calhoun outscored Tekamah-Herman 19-10 in the 2nd quarter to take a 39-24 lead into the locker room.

The Pioneers won the 3rd quarter 19-17 to extend their lead to 58-41 at the end of three.

Fort Calhoun doubled up the Tigers 18-9 in the 4th quarter.

Tekamah-Herman (5-13) takes on Madison (2-14) on the road Friday night.

The Dragons lost 73-30 at West Point-Beemer Tuesday night.

This is a makeup game of games we were supposed to broadcast on 107.9 the Bull on Friday, January 15th.

The Tigers have to make the most of it and go out there and play hard and well.

Tekamah-Herman should be able to win this one one would think as after all they knocked off Madison 70-52 in the Madison Holiday Tournament on December 31st.

I feel like the Tigers have a shot to close out the regular season with two wins.

That would certainly be good momentum heading into Sub-Districts so Tekamah-Herman has to go out there and make it happen.

The Tekamah-Herman Girls fell 41-22 at home to Omaha Mercy Monday night before losing 72-41 at home to North Bend Central Tuesday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull.

The Monarchs led 6-4 after one, and won the 2nd quarter 7-2 to take a 13-6 lead into the locker room.

Omaha Mercy outscored the Tigers 13-7 in the 3rd quarter to increase their edge to 26-13 at the end of three.

The Monarchs outscored Tekamah-Herman 15-9 in the 4th quarter.

NBC led Tekamah-Herman 20-12 at the end of one, and outscored them 19-10 in the 2nd quarter to take a 39-22 lead into the locker room.

North Bend Central outscored Tekamah-Herman 19-6 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 58-28 at the end of three.

NBC won the 4th quarter 14-13.

Preslee Hansen had 14 points for T-H.

The Tigers (3-17) wrap up the regular season at Madison (3-14) Friday night.

The Dragons lost 61-23 at West Point-Beemer Tuesday night.

Both teams could really use a win as Tekamah-Herman has dropped 10 in a row and Madison has lost 10 straight.

As a matter of fact, neither team has won a game in the 2021 part of the schedule so something has to give in this one.

The Tigers could really use some kind of momentum heading into Sub-Districts at GACC Tuesday night.

Tekamah-Herman definitely wants to win this one.

This is not one the Tigers want to let get away.

It would be good if Tekamah-Herman could end the regular season on a high note.
