What a great couple of wins for Clarkson/Leigh. I feel the Patriots have played really good basketball their last four games.
Clarkson/Leigh (7-12) closes out the regular season Friday night at home against David City (11-10).
The Scouts lost 47-46 at home to Wilber-Clatonia Friday night.
Beating a C-1 foe the caliber of David City figures to be tough for the Patriots, but not impossible.
The Scouts just lost to Madison last week while Clarkson/Leigh beat the Dragons.
And given the fact the Patriots have won two in a row and three out of their last four and David City has dropped three straight gives Clarkson/Leigh a chance to win this one, in my opinion.
The Patriots take on Fremont Bergan on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at David City Aquinas in the D1-3 Sub-District Semifinals.
Tough draw for Clarkson/Leigh, but the Patriots have to like their chances given the way they are playing right now.
I feel Clarkson/Leigh is playing their best basketball right now, and stands a really good chance to at least compete and hang with the Scouts and Knights.
The Patriots are playing about as well as they could of hoped for heading into these matchups I would say.
Clarkson/Leigh is learning how to win tight, close games in the 4th quarter and beyond, and that is a very good sign.
The Patriots have to practice hard the rest of this week, and have a good game plan for beating David City.
Clarkson/Leigh gutted out a couple of big road wins and so now we'll see if the Patriots can bring that success back home.
This is the last home game of the season for the seniors so I'm sure it would be a big deal for them to win it.
This young, talented team is growing up before our eyes, and Clarkson/Leigh has to keep it up and continue make a push here in the next week or so and see if they can prolong their season and keep things going.
The Patriots have to be focused on trying to beat the Scouts before they worry about the game with the Knights though.
The Clarkson/Leigh Girls defeated Stanton 31-27 on the road Thursday night to wrap up the regular season before defeating Norfolk Catholic 39-32 in the C2-6 Sub-District Semifinals at Norfolk High Tuesday night.

Clarkson/Leigh won the 4th quarter 12-10.

Two great and clutch wins for the Patriots to say the least.
Clarkson/Leigh (20-3) takes on Battle Creek (14-9) in the C2-6 Sub-District Final from Norfolk High Thursday night.
The Braves beat Stanton 51-41 in Tuesday night's Semifinals.
Battle Creek is a tough team, but you know what so is Clarkson/Leigh.
The Patriots have found ways to win all year, and specifically the close games.
Clarkson/Leigh knocked off the Braves in the postseason in Volleyball, and can certainly do it in basketball too.
The Patriots figure to have a chance at making Sub-State should they lose, but Clarkson/Leigh just assumes win to guarantee their spot.
The Patriots don't want to have their fate rest in the hands of someone else.
Clarkson/Leigh assumes control their own fate and destiny, and win.
The Patriots have to be up to the task of trying to slow the Braves down offensively, and playing a good game on offense.
Battle Creek is a good team and a worthy opponent, and won't be easy for Clarkson/Leigh to beat.
The Patriots have found ways to win all year though, and simply has to do that again Thursday night.
Win and you are one win away from making the State Tournament.
This team has to continue to play great and dream big.
Clarkson/Leigh has to play their game and be on top of things Thursday night.
The Patriots have to take care of the ball and value each possession.
Clarkson/Leigh has to be alert at all times and can't have any mental lapses or take any plays off.
The Patriots have to go out there and play hard and smart.....smart with heart as the team likes to say.
Clarkson/Leigh has worked so hard over the last four years to be in this position, and now that the Patriots are there they have to get the job done.
Win and you're guaranteed a Sub-State game.
Winning is all that matters Thursday night, and Clarkson/Leigh has to find a way to get it done regardless of how it happens.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
