Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Boys beat, Girls fall to Wisner-Pilger

The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Boys Basketball Team avenged a loss to Wisner-Pilger earlier in the season, winning 43-36 in overtime on the Gators' home floor in an East Husker Conference Tournament Consolation Game Friday night.

The Raiders got out to an 11-3 lead at the end of one. The Gators won the 2nd quarter 8-7 to make it an 18-11 game at halftime in favor of LVSS.

Wisner-Pilger won the 3rd quarter 9-6 to close within 4 at 24-20 at the end of three, and won the 4th quarter 12-8 to tie the game at 32 and send it into OT.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder outlasted the Gators 11-4 in the extra session.

Connor Larson had 18 points while Austin Peters notched 10.

Great win by the Raiders. Logan View/Scribner-Snyder lost by 18 to these guys the first time around, but they weren't going to be denied this time.

The Raiders (13-7) take on Clarkson/Leigh (5-11) on the road Tuesday night.

The Patriots won 76-58 over Tekamah-Herman in an East Husker Conference Tournament Consolation Game at Twin River Friday night.

LVSS should be very happy about the win over Wisner-Pilger, but be ready to get back at it Tuesday night.

Clarkson/Leigh is a tough team that has surprised a few teams this year and beat them or given them good games for a while.

The Patriots are not a team you can take lightly or sleep on.

The Raiders are at BRLD on Friday, but Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has to focus on Clarkson/Leigh and worry about beating the Patriots first.

The Raiders can't get caught looking ahead to the Wolverines Friday night.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has to continue to build upon what they've done in the second half of the season and find success.

The Raiders have to play tough minded defense and execute the game plan offensively.

LVSS has to look to attack Clarkson/Leigh often, and try and do their best to make life difficult on the Patriots.

This is a game the Raiders can win big if they play up to their potential and are on top of their game.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder should win in double digits just based on the fact they're a C-1 program and Clarkson/Leigh is D-1.

The Patriots have some kids who can play though, including Daniel Beller, Tommy McEvoy, and Jarred Novotny.

Those three were on against Tekamah-Herman, and if each goes off for double digits against the Raiders then Logan View/Scribner-Snyder could find themselves in a dog fight.

It's also one of the last home games of the year for Clarkson/Leigh so you know they will be inspired and ready to go.

The Raiders have to match the Patriots' intensity, and outplay them in every facet of the game if possible.

The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Girls dug themselves an early hole and lost 38-34 to Wisner-Pilger in an East Husker Conference Tournament Consolation Game at Pender Thursday night.

The Gators blanked the Raiders 10-0 in the 1st quarter. Both teams scored 7 points in the 2nd quarter, and the halftime score was 17-7 in favor of Wisner-Pilger.

LVSS won the 3rd quarter 12-7 to make it a 24-19 game at the end of three in favor of the Gators.

The Raiders won the 4th quarter 15-14.

Maelee Beacom and Valerie Uehling each had 9 points while Shaylin Daugherty registered 12 rebounds.

Good strong effort from Logan View/Scribner-Snyder, but the first quarter doomed them.

The Raiders (5-14) take on Clarkson/Leigh (17-3) on the road Tuesday night.

The Patriots won 52-47 over Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family in the 3rd place game of the East Husker Conference Tournament at Central Community College in Columbus on Saturday.

Clarkson/Leigh has been very good this year, and has been on a roll lately.

The Patriots don't beat themselves, that's for sure.

With that said, I feel Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has a chance to go in there and make this game close, or at least competitive.

Clarkson/Leigh isn't the type of team that's going to blow many people out so that has to be encouraging for the Raiders.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has to start Tuesday night's game opposite of how they did Thursday night's.

The Raiders can't wait until the 2nd or 3rd quarter to get settled in offensively.

LVSS has to start much faster than they did against Wisner-Pilger.

The Raiders can definitely give the Patriots a run for their money too.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder is a C-1 program, and has what I feel is an advantage inside with Daugherty.

The Raiders have to feed her the ball inside and let her go to work against a smaller Clarkson/Leigh squad.

Daugherty has to be effective and efficient both on the offensive and defensive ends of the floor.

She needs to have a big game for LVSS to have a shot in this one I would say.

The Raiders could also use big offensive contributions from Uehling, Beacom, and players like Ashley Peters, Ashley Uhing, and Josie Kahlandt.

It needs to be a total team effort from Logan View/Scribner-Snyder if the Raiders are to come away with the win, but I feel LVSS can do it if they can find a way to keep pace with Clarkson/Leigh offensively.

The Raiders are definitely good enough defensively to compete, now it's just a matter of getting the offense going as well.
