BRLD Boys and Girls begin seasons 2-0

The BRLD Boys won 62-34 at home over Homer on Saturday before routing Omaha Nation 89-42 on the road Thursday night.

The Wolverines and Knights were tied at 16 at the end of one. BRLD outscored Homer 16-2 in the 2nd quarter to take a 32-18 lead into the locker room.

The Knights won the 3rd quarter 11-4 to make it a 36-29 game at the end of three.

The Wolverines outscored Homer 26-5 in the 4th quarter.

Lucas Vogt led the way with 21 points while Toriano Bohannon Jr. notched 12. Dylan Beutler added 8 points and 13 rebounds.

BRLD led 24-17 at the end of one over the Chiefs before outscoring Omaha Nation 28-9 in the 2nd quarter to take a 52-26 lead into the locker room.

The Wolverines outscored the Chiefs 29-8 in the 3rd quarter to go up 81-34 at the end of three.

Both teams scored 8 4th quarter points.

Dominant performance from the 4th quarter on Saturday on for BRLD.

The Wolverines (2-0) travel to Clarkson to take on Clarkson/Leigh (2-2) Friday night.

The Patriots won 61-19 at Winside Thursday night.

This is a game BRLD should win, and win big if they are on top of their game.

This one has all the makings of a 40-point running clock game.

In fact, that's what this one ought to be in my mind.

And that's not a knock on Clarkson/Leigh that's more or less a testament to just how great this BRLD team and program is.

The Wolverines appear to be picking up right where they left off after going 29-0 last year.

In fact, it has been nearly two years since BRLD last lost a game.

That's absolutely incredible.

What a run this Wolverine program is on.

BRLD can't slow down now, the Wolverines have to let the train keep rolling Friday night.

The BRLD Girls won 74-15 at home over Homer on Saturday before defeating Omaha Nation 65-22 on the road Thursday night.

The Wolverines led the Knights 19-7 at the end of one, and outscored Homer 22-3 in the 2nd quarter to take a 41-10 lead into the locker room.

BRLD outscored the Knights 17-5 in the 3rd quarter to go up 58-15 at the end of three.

The Wolverines blanked Homer 16-0 in the 4th quarter.

Jordan Snyder had 15 points and 8 rebounds while Caragan Tietz totaled 15 points. Alyssa Buccholz was also in double figures with 10 while Isabel Freemont and Audra Nolting notched 7 apiece.

BRLD tripled up the Chiefs 18-6 in the 1st quarter, and outscored Omaha Nation 20-3 in the 2nd quarter to take a 38-9 lead into the locker room.

The Wolverines outscored the Chiefs 19-11 in the 3rd quarter to lead 57-20 at the end of three.

BRLD quadrupled up Omaha Nation 8-2 in the 4th quarter.

Great start to the season for the Wolverines.

BRLD (2-0) battles Clarkson/Leigh (4-0) on the road Friday night.

The Patriots won 62-21 at Winside Thursday night.

This is going to be the first real test of the season for the Wolverines.

I think if BRLD is going to win this game it is going to be because of their offensive output.

I think the Wolverines may be a good enough offensive team to score a bunch of points against a great Clarkson/Leigh defense.

I could see BRLD winning this game something like 54-51.

The gap and margin between these two teams is very narrow.

I just feel like the Wolverines' offense gives them a chance to win and succeed though.

I think BRLD's offense is stronger than Clarkson/Leigh's but I also think the Patriots are the better team defensively.

We will soon find out who the better team is Friday night, and who pulls out all the big stops and makes the big shots.

Should be a fun one.
