Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Boys and Girls beat Tekamah-Herman

The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Boys downed Tekamah-Herman 63-48 at home Thursday night.

The game was tied at 12 at the end of one. The Raiders doubled up the Tigers 14-7 in the 2nd quarter to take a 26-19 lead into the locker room.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder outscored Tekamah-Herman 23-10 in the 3rd quarter to increase their edge to 49-29 at the end of three.

The Tigers won the 4th quarter 19-14.

Garrett Kriete had a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds while Connor Larson added 18 points. Riley Hoetfelker scored 11 while Brett Uhing registered 12 rebounds.

Good way to cap off the pre-Christmas Holiday Schedule for the Raiders.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (5-1) faces Omaha Brownell Talbot (1-5) in the first round of the Fort Calhoun Holiday Tournament next Tuesday.

Brownell Talbot has lost to some good teams, and fell 67-52 at Louisville on Saturday.

You know Brownell Talbot will come ready to play so so does Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.

LVSS just has to play their game and play the way they have so far this season.

If Logan View/Scribner-Snyder does that then they should be just fine.

On the other side is the host Pioneers and Elmwood-Murdock.

This tournament is Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's to lose, in my opinion.

I don't think any of the three other teams will beat LVSS.

I feel Logan View/Scribner-Snyder will walk away from this tournament as champions.

Next Tuesday's game is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m.

The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Girls won 54-42 at home over Tekamah-Herman Thursday night.

The Raiders led 12-7 after one, and won the 2nd quarter 13-12 to take a 25-19 lead into the locker room.

LVSS won the 3rd quarter 13-11 to extend their lead to 38-30 at the end of three.

The Raiders outscored the Tigers 16-12 in the 4th quarter.

Sophia Vacha had 19 points and 8 rebounds while Cadynce Stockamp added 9 points and 7 rebounds. Valerie Uehling added 8 points and 8 rebounds while Josie Kahlandt totaled 8 points. Cailey Stout and Kaitlin Mundil added 7 rebounds apiece.

Lots of great activity on both ends of the floor for LVSS in this one.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder heads into the Holiday Moratorium with a 4-2 record.

It has been a very solid start to the season for the Raider Girls.

LVSS takes on Omaha Brownell Talbot (0-5) in the opening round of the Fort Calhoun Holiday Tournament next Tuesday.

Brownell Talbot lost 56-35 at home to Mead Friday night.

Fort Calhoun (2-4) and Elmwood-Murdock (3-3) are the other two teams in the tournament.

Both of those teams are respectable, but I think Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has a legit chance to win this Tournament.

LVSS has improved so much from last year.

The Raiders are having a nice season so far this year, and have to keep it up.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has to remain hungry and has to want more.

The Raiders should be very proud and happy about what they have accomplished and done so far this season, but they can't be satisfied.

Complacency can't set in for LVSS, the Raiders have to want more.

I think Logan View/Scribner-Snyder will want more and I think the Raiders are going to win this tournament.

It would be a tremendous accomplishment if it happened, and if it does LVSS will be 6-2 heading into the new Calendar year.

Next Tuesday's game is set to tip-off at 11:30 a.m.
