The Tekamah-Herman Boys lost 63-48 at Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Thursday night, and 53-22 at home to Arlington on Saturday.
The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder game was tied at 12 at the end of one. The Raiders doubled up the Tigers 14-7 in the 2nd quarter to take a 26-19 lead into the locker room.
Logan View/Scribner-Snyder outscored Tekamah-Herman 23-10 in the 3rd quarter to increase their edge to 49-29 at the end of three.
The Tigers won the 4th quarter 19-14.
Tough loss on Saturday after playing so well against the Raiders.
Tekamah-Herman is 2-5 heading into the Holiday Moratorium.
I think Tekamah-Herman is where they want to be right now in terms of the program as a whole.
The Tigers are much improved and better.
Tekamah-Herman could still be more consistent, but overall things look promising and the Tigers have to be pretty happy with where they are as a whole as a program.
Tekamah-Herman takes on Elgin Public/Pope John (3-5) in the first round of the Madison Holiday Tournament on Monday.
The Wolfpack lost 58-55 at home to Creighton Monday night.
Madison (2-4) and Riverside (3-4) are the other two teams in this tournament.
I think this tournament is anyone's for the taking.
I feel like the Tigers are the best team in this tournament though.
Anything can happen, but I feel like if Tekamah-Herman plays up to their potential they will win this tournament.
The Tigers have to find a way to be consistent though.
Tekamah-Herman has to do everything they can to shoot on their own during the moratorium.
That might be easier said than done due to the pandemic, but the Tigers have to do what they can.
Monday's game is scheduled to start at 4:15.
The Tekamah-Herman Girls lost 54-42 at Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Thursday night before falling 52-42 at Arlington on Saturday.
The Raiders led 12-7 after one, and won the 2nd quarter 13-12 to take a 25-19 lead into the locker room.
LVSS won the 3rd quarter 13-11 to extend their lead to 38-30 at the end of three.
The Raiders outscored the Tigers 16-12 in the 4th quarter.
The Eagles doubled up Tekamah-Herman 16-8 in the 1st quarter. The Tigers won the 2nd quarter 9-6 to make it a 22-17 game at halftime.
Arlington outscored Tekamah-Herman 15-9 in the 3rd quarter to increase their lead to 37-26 at the end of three.
The Tigers won the 4th quarter 16-15.
A couple of losses for Tekamah-Herman to a couple of solid teams.
The Tigers head into the five-day moratorium with a 2-5 record.
Tekamah-Herman started the season slow, but I think the Tigers have improved since dropping their first 3 games of the season.
Tekamah-Herman faces Elgin Public/Pope John (5-2) in the first round of the Madison Holiday Tournament on Monday.
The Wolfpack lost 52-44 at home to Creighton Monday night.
EPPJ has a solid record, but I don't think they've faced the caliber of competition that the Tigers have.
This should be a good game, and I feel like Tekamah-Herman can win.
Other teams in this tournament are Riverside (0-1) and Madison (2-4).
The Chargers just got their season started after having a bunch of games postponed.
I think the winner of Tekamah-Herman and Elgin Public/Pope John will win the Championship.
The Tigers have to work really hard and really strive to win on Monday.
Tekamah-Herman has a big opportunity in front of them, and has to go in there and really want it more than the Wolfpack.
Both Tiger teams beat EPPJ last year and won the Championship over Madison.
I think history could repeat itself this year, but Tekamah-Herman has to play well and has to really want it.
The Tigers have to build on the positives of the last four games, and find new and different ways to keep improving.
Tip-off on Monday is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
