The BRLD Boys won 73-36 at Clarkson/Leigh Friday night.
The Patriots jumped out to a 17-16 lead at the end of one before the Wolverines outscored Clarkson/Leigh 22-2 in the 2nd quarter to take a 38-19 lead at halftime.
BRLD outscored the Patriots 17-9 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 55-28 at the end of three.
The Wolverines outscored Clarkson/Leigh 18-8 in the 4th quarter.
Dylan Beutler had a double-double of 21 points and 14 rebounds while Lucas Vogt totaled 19 points. Elliot Nottleman added 16 while Toriano Bohannon Jr. notched 11.
It appears as if BRLD has simply reloaded.
The Wolverines (3-0) take on Howells-Dodge (2-4) on the road Friday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.
The Jaguars won 44-40 at West Point-Beemer Tuesday night.
BRLD is on a 55-game winning streak, but Howells-Dodge is the last team to beat them.
The Jaguars knocked off the Wolverines in the regular season in the 2018-2019 season before BRLD won the State matchup between the two teams.
It's always a great matchup when these two teams get together, and Friday night's game should be no different.
I look for both teams to really get after things Friday night, and put on a show for the fans and listeners.
Howells-Dodge came out and got off to a strong start against Oakland-Craig, and found a way to win over the Cadets.
If Howells-Dodge could play the way they did for 12 minutes against the Knights the whole time against the Wolverines they could spring the upset.
The BRLD Girls fell 38-31 at Clarkson/Leigh Friday night.
The Wolverines led 6-5 at the end of the 1st quarter. The Patriots won the 2nd quarter 13-10 to take an 18-16 lead into the locker room.
Clarkson/Leigh tripled up BRLD 9-3 in the 3rd quarter to go up 27-19 at the end of three.
The Wolverines won the 4th quarter 12-11.
Jordan Snyder led the way with 15 points while Alyssa Buccholz totaled 10 points and 7 rebounds.
If there was ever such a thing as a good loss this might be considered that.
BRLD (2-1) takes on Howells-Dodge (3-3) on the road Friday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.
The Jaguars lost 64-37 at West Point-Beemer Tuesday night.
Tough setback for Howells-Dodge on Tuesday.
Tough setback for the Wolverines on Friday too though.
I'm sure BRLD would have loved to have won the big game last week.
Since they didn't and even if they had won I look for the Wolverines to come out and do something similar to what the Cadets did to the Jaguars Tuesday night.
I think BRLD will be amped up and motivated, and will come out and light it up from the field.
Howells-Dodge could keep things close, and if that's the case I could see the Wolverines winning a close game.
Either way I look for BRLD to win Friday night.
Tip-off from Howells is set for 6:00 p.m. on the Bull.
