The North Bend Central Boys won 55-51 at Omaha Roncalli Friday night before falling 70-55 at home to Milford Tuesday night.
The Tigers led the Crimson Pride 11-8 at the end of the 1st quarter, and outscored Roncalli 13-7 in the 2nd quarter to take a 24-15 lead into the locker room.
The Crimson Pride answered in the 3rd quarter, outscoring NBC 24-14 to pull ahead 39-38 at the end of three.
The Tigers won the 4th quarter 17-12.
North Bend Central got out to a 19-13 lead on the Eagles at the end of one. Milford won the 2nd quarter 15-10 to slice the deficit to 1 at 29-28 at halftime.
The Eagles doubled up the Tigers 18-9 in the 3rd quarter to go up 46-38 at the end of three.
Milford won the 4th quarter 24-17.
Tough setback for NBC.
The Tigers head into the five-day Holiday Moratorium with a 5-1 record.
It has been a solid start to the season for North Bend Central, who looks to keep things going in their own Holiday Tournament next week.
The Tigers open up with GACC (2-4).
The Bluejays lost 50-41 at Wayne Tuesday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull.
The other two teams in the tournament are Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family and Omaha Concordia.
North Bend Central definitely has their work cut out for them if they make the championship.
Both the Bulldogs and Mustangs are very good and solid squads.
The Tigers definitely suffered a tough loss to the Eagles, but hopefully the setback will only make North Bend Central stronger.
The Tigers just have to take a deep breath and relax and be ready to get back out there and work extremely hard come next week.
North Bend Central has to bring lots of energy and must play with a lot of passion as well.
The GACC game is scheduled to start at 6:30 p.m. at Tiger Arena.
The North Bend Central Girls routed Milford 50-27 at home Tuesday night.
The Tigers jumped out to a 14-5 lead at the end of one. Both teams scored 6 points in the 2nd quarter, and the score was 20-11 at halftime in favor of North Bend Central.
The Tigers outscored the Eagles 14-6 in the 3rd quarter, and led 34-17 at the end of three.
North Bend Central won the 4th quarter 16-10.
Sydney Emanuel registered 21 points while Kaitlyn Emanuel and Cierra Kluthe recorded 12 apiece.
What a way to cap off the pre-Christmas Holiday Schedule if you are the Tigers.
North Bend Central heads into the Holiday Moratorium with a 5-0 record.
The Tigers are hosting their own Holiday Tournament next week.
Up first for North Bend Central is GACC (7-1).

This is going to be the Tigers' biggest challenge of the season so far.
GACC is the perfect example of you know you're doing something right if you knock them off.
The Bluejays are one of the biggest powerhouses in the State year in and year out.
But North Bend Central is the defending Class C-1 State Champions and GACC is coming to their place.
This should be a very strong defensive oriented game with some solid offense as well.
The Tigers have to look to use their height advantage and get the ball inside.
North Bend Central has to get the ball down low and dominate the post.
Pound the rock inside, that's the Tigers' best chance for success, in my opinion.
The game will be played on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. at Tiger Arena.
