The Jaguars (1-3) host Oakland-Craig (2-2) on Saturday in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

The Knights won 71-44 at Pender Friday night.

This should be a heck of a ball game. I think this game will be close and come down to the wire.

It's a chance for Howells-Dodge to pick up a win over a quality opponent.

The Jaguars have to defend their home court and play a great game on Saturday.

Howells-Dodge has to light things up from the inside and outside, and play good, strong, fundamental basketball.

The Jaguars have to go out there and play physical, and make Oakland-Craig work for their points.

Howells-Dodge has to work hard, and play hard and smart.

The Jaguars have to play under control and not let their emotions get the best of them.

Howells-Dodge has to play together as a team and as one.

If the Jaguars can do that then they could very well win.

The Howells-Dodge Girls are 2-2 on the season as they lost 55-43 at Pierce in last Thursday night's season opener before doubling up Stanton 64-32 at home Friday night. The Jaguars then beat Aquinas 46-33 at home Tuesday night before falling 48-44 at Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family Thursday night.

H/LHF won the 3rd quarter 11-9 to extend their lead to 33-29 at the end of three.

Both teams scored 15 points in the 4th quarter.

Strong and solid effort so far this season by the Jaguars.

Howells-Dodge (2-2) battles Oakland-Craig (1-2) at home on Saturday in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

The Knights lost 51-44 at Pender Friday night.

Oakland-Craig has lost a couple of tough, close games to a couple of great teams and programs.

The Jaguars are another good, quality team too and coming into Howells and beating them won't be easy whatsoever.

Both teams could really use a win in this one, especially the Knights.

Oakland-Craig might need this win more so than Howells-Dodge.

Still though the Jaguars need to come out and play great Basketball and play as if the game could be their last.

Howells-Dodge has to play their game and try and add to the Knights' woes.

The Jaguars are a good, strong, quality fundamental team and I totally expect this game to be good come Saturday.

I think both the boys and girls games will be super close and tight.

It should be a good day of High School Basketball on the Bull.

Tip-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on the Bull.
