Tekamah-Herman Boys 0-3 in last three games; Girls 1-1 in last two

The Tekamah-Herman Boys are winless in their last three contests, losing 79-33 at home to Wisner-Pilger Friday night, 69-36 at home to Twin River on Saturday, and 70-54 at home to Omaha Brownell-Talbot Monday night.

Wisner-Pilger led 19-3 at the end of one against the Tigers. The Gators outscored Tekamah-Herman 28-10 in the second quarter to lead 47-13 at halftime.

The Tigers won the third quarter 17-12 to make it a 59-30 game at the end of three.

Wisner-Pilger outscored Tekamah-Herman 20-3 in the fourth quarter.

Derek Haber finished with a team-high 15 points.

The Titans jumped on the Tigers and led 25-9 at the end of one. Twin River outscored Tekamah-Herman 19-8 in the second quarter to take a 44-17 lead into the locker room.

The Titans won the third quarter 22-13 to go up 66-30 at the end of three.

The Tigers doubled up Twin River 6-3 in the fourth quarter.

Haber led the way with 23 points.

The Raiders went up 23-8 on Tekamah-Herman at the end of one. The Tigers won the second quarter 15-13 to make it a 36-23 game at halftime.

Tekamah-Herman outscored Omaha Brownell-Talbot 17-12 in the third quarter to cut the deficit to 8 at 48-40 at the end of three.

The Raiders scored 22 fourth quarter points compared to 14 for the Tigers.

Haber finished with a team-high 22 points. Gus Langley added 12 while Matt Gross totaled 8. Bailey Fleischmann added 8 rebounds.

Tekamah-Herman played better against Omaha Brownell-Talbot than they did against Twin River and Wisner-Pilger. It appears the Tigers made some progress offensively against the Raiders.

Tekamah-Herman (1-4) squares off with Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (1-3) at home Friday night.

The Raiders lost 60-53 at Wahoo on Saturday.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder appears to be a pretty solid team even though they are just 1-3 on the season.

Ben Moxness, Nathan Taylor, Hunter Schlueter, Andrew Poppe, Jacob Polk, Darnell Sims, and Conner Gralheer can all play.

Every one of them has scored a significant amount of points at some point this season for the Raiders, which means the Tigers have to be up to the task defensively.

So far, Tekamah-Herman has had a really difficult time slowing people down.

The Tigers have given up 67+ points to every opponent so far this season.

That's not going to win you many games.

It hasn't been the prettiest start to the season for Tekamah-Herman, but the good news is the Tigers have a beatable opponent at home.

Tekamah-Herman has to figure they have a chance to win, especially if Haber, Langley, and Gross go off. Get four or five players in double figures and that could spell doom for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.

This is a big game for the Tigers. They could use a win to gain some momentum for Saturday's contest at Arlington.

The Tekamah-Herman Girls continue their respectable play, losing 45-29 at home to Wisner-Pilger Friday night before beating Twin River 45-36 at home on Saturday.

The Gators led the Tigers 9-7 after one. Wisner-Pilger won the second quarter 14-9 to lead 23-16 at halftime.

The Gators outscored Tekamah-Herman 14-4 in the third quarter to make it a 37-20 game at the end of three.

The Tigers put up 9 fourth quarter points compared to 8 for Wisner-Pilger.

The Titans led Tekamah-Herman 9-5 after one. Both teams scored 5 second quarter points, and the halftime score was 14-10 in favor of Twin River.

The Tigers did their damage in the third quarter, outscoring the Titans 18-4 to go up 28-18 at the end of three.

Twin River won the fourth quarter 18-17.

Allie Snow finished with 12 points for Tekamah-Herman. Sammi Surber had 10 while Marin Jetensky notched 7.

The Tigers did a nice job bouncing back from Friday's loss. One loss could have led to another, but Tekamah-Herman wasn't going to let that happen. Great effort from the Tigers to win on Saturday.

Tekamah-Herman (3-2) hosts Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (0-4) Friday night.

The Raiders lost 47-42 at Cedar Bluffs Tuesday night.

Despite the loss, Logan View/Scribner-Snyder did some good things in that game.

Kaylee Boyle, Sierra Beacom, and Shaylin Daugherty all had good games for the Raiders.

Those three are definitely players to watch out for if you are the Tigers.

Tekamah-Herman has to have a similar effort to what they had on Saturday.

The third quarter was the difference in the win over Twin River, and while playing one great quarter can certainly win you games like it did for the Tigers, you want to play a complete game anytime you take the floor.

I'm looking for a complete, four quarter performance from Tekamah-Herman.

Other than the Douglas County West game, the Tigers haven't had a game they've dominated from start to finish.

Tekamah-Herman has played well for a half or a quarter in some contests so the need to play well for four quarters is definitely there.

The Tigers need to have the same kind of effort they had against the Falcons if they want to win going away against Logan View/Scribner-Snyder.
