Head Coach Cody Bobolz on the loss.
"We couldn't stay out of foul trouble, and give credit to Raabe and Hatterman. They really owned us in the paint. They got us in foul trouble, and got us out of our game early, and yeah they were the tougher team, they outworked us for pretty much 32 minutes."
The Cadets led the Wolverines 16-12 after one. West Point-Beemer won the second quarter 11-10 to go up 27-22 at halftime.
BRLD tripled up the Cadets 12-4 in the third quarter to go in front 34-31 at the end of three.

Bobolz.
"Give credit to Schuyler they're definitely a team that they'll work it. We told them it's 10, 11, 12 passes a possession and they're going to work it until the shot they want. And give them credit because they kind of kept the game at their the pace, but we ultimately in overtime got it going a little bit more up and down and made the free throws down the stretch."
Bobolz's team made it to the free throw line 37 times.
"That was very key for us. 37 free throws. I don't know if I've seen us get to the line 37 times. That was a tremendous effort. And we maybe didn't quite shoot the percentage we wanted, but ultimately made them down the stretch and made them when it was really important, and really proud of the guys for just keeping attacking, and that was something we talked about pregame, and our guys did a good job of it."
West Point-Beemer (6-7) battles Tekamah-Herman (0-8) on the road Saturday.
The Tigers lost 65-30 at home to BRLD last Friday night.
It's no secret Tekamah-Herman has struggled to score and defend this season, and is low on numbers.
Schuyler didn't look very good coming in either from a record standpoint, but gave the Cadets all they could handle, so West Point-Beemer has to be ready to go and can't take the Tigers lightly or for granted.
The Cadets have played what I think is some of their best basketball of the season lately as West Point-Beemer has won two out of their last three.
I think the Cadets have a good chance to make it three out of four by knocking off Tekamah-Herman.
West Point-Beemer really needs to win this game big with Twin River and Logan View/Scribner-Snyder coming up next week.
The Cadets need to look impressive to give themselves the belief and confidence necessary to knock off the Titans and Raiders.
It all starts on the defensive end for West Point-Beemer, and so the Cadets must play tough, in your face, aggressive defense.
West Point-Beemer has to contest shots, box out, fight for loose balls, and be the tougher team.
There's no reason why the Cadets shouldn't win big over the Tigers.
A win would get West Point-Beemer to .500, and I think that would be pretty respectable at this point in the season given the fact the Cadets have no seniors.
West Point-Beemer needs to keep improving and taking steps forward, and a win over Tekamah-Herman would be another positive step in the right direction for the Cadets I would say.
West Point-Beemer has to be focused solely on the Tigers, and can't be looking beyond Saturday's game.
The West Point-Beemer Girls are also 2-2 in their last four games, defeating Wisner-Pilger 40-28 on the road last Friday night, losing 62-51 at home to BRLD on Saturday, falling 60-38 at Battle Creek Tuesday night, and winning 61-12 at home over Schuyler Thursday night.
West Point-Beemer blanked Wisner-Pilger 5-0 in the first quarter. The Cadets outscored the Gators 14-2 in the second quarter to take a 19-2 lead into the locker room. Wisner-Pilger was held without a first half field goal.
The Gators won the third quarter 13-10 to make it a 29-15 game at the end of three.
Wisner-Pilger outlasted West Point-Beemer 13-11 in the fourth quarter.
The Cadets were led by Brittney Hinkel, who had 11 points. Andrea Hoffman added 8 while Katie Pilakowski totaled 7. Bethany Anderson and Nicole Mitzel registered 10 and 9 rebounds, respectively.
Head Coach Craig Theis.
"We felt good about it, but once again it's that uncomfortable where we go into the halftime and I said don't be content. And we missed a lot of shots that first half defensively was really good. They missed a lot of shots. One of those conference games that's just pretty ugly to start there, and we built a nice little lead there. And I said at halftime I was coming out talking to my assistant coach I said man they hit a three or two to start the half I get real nervous, and boom I think the Batenhorst girl hits a three, and then the Meyer girl hit two really tough threes, and the thing got under 10, but man they made us really uncomfortable there."
Both the Wolverines and Cadets scored 13 points in the first quarter. BRLD outscored West Point-Beemer 21-12 in the second quarter to take a 34-25 lead into the locker room.
The Wolverines outscored the Cadets 18-11 in the third quarter to go up 52-36 after three.
West Point-Beemer outlasted BRLD 15-10 in the fourth quarter.
Anderson led had a team-high 15 points and 14 rebounds, good enough for a double-double. Brooke Haase added 9 points and 8 rebounds while Hoffman totaled 7 points.
The Braves led the Cadets 12-10 after one. Battle Creek outscored West Point-Beemer 19-7 in the second quarter to take a 31-17 lead into the locker room.
The Cadets won the third quarter 11-8 to make it a 39-28 game at the end of three.
Battle Creek outlasted West Point-Beemer 21-10 in the fourth quarter.
Hinkel led the way with 10 points and 9 rebounds while Anderson notched 10 points. Makenna Weddle added 9 while Haase chipped in 8 rebounds.
The Cadets led the Warriors 18-4 at the end of one. West Point-Beemer outscored the Warriors 19-5 in the second quarter to go up 37-9 at halftime.
The Cadets outlasted Schuyler 15-3 in the third quarter to lead 52-12 after three.
West Point-Beemer blanked the Warriors 9-0 in the fourth quarter.
Hinkel had a game-high 16 points and 9 rebounds for the Cadets while Anderson and Hoffman totaled 10 points apiece. Weddle chipped in 8.
Theis.
"Yeah this was a good one to feel good about. Kind of lacking some confidence after the last few games, but came out in our home crowd here and got after it. It was nice to see, really nice to see."
Theis's girls blanked the Warriors 9 to nothing in the fourth quarter.
"You want great defense to lead to easy offense, and we got that. We got a lot of run outs, a lot of steals for lay ups. And just looking at our scorebook great scoring. Three girls in double digits I believe."
The Cadets (4-10) take on Tekamah-Herman (1-10) on the road Saturday.
The Tigers lost 61-35 at home to BRLD last Friday night.
Tekamah-Herman has had a tough year sort of like West Point-Beemer.
This is a game between two teams who I feel are better than their records.
The Cadets are starting to come along while the Tigers still have some work to do I would say.
I think West Point-Beemer has a good chance to win, and pick up their 5th win of the season.
I feel the Cadets have played their best basketball of the season lately and are starting to figure things out some.
I expect Tekamah-Herman to be tough and for this to be a close game though. I don't think West Point-Beemer will have an easy time by any means.
Anderson has to be tough on the inside, and the Cadets' guards have to be able to handle defensive pressure and pressure the ball themselves.
The Tigers have the advantage in age as Tekamah-Herman is more of a senior laden team than West Point-Beemer, but both of these teams have about the same amount of varsity experience.
As better than their record as I feel the Tigers are, a loss to them would hurt the Cadets big time I feel.
I think a loss would be an emotional letdown in a way, and would be a tough setback for West Point-Beemer.
I really think the Cadets need to win Saturday to give themselves a chance at home against Twin River next Friday.
If West Point-Beemer can knock off Tekamah-Herman the stage would be set for Friday.
