The West Point-Beemer Boys won 56-18 at Tekamah-Herman on Saturday.
The Cadets led 23-1 at the end of one. West Point-Beemer outscored the Tigers 20-7 in the second quarter to take a 43-8 lead into the locker room.
The Cadets won the third quarter 8-5 to go up 51-13 at the end of three.
Both teams scored 5 points in the fourth quarter.
Austin Streeter totaled 12 points and 10 rebounds, good enough for a double-double. Chase Streeter added 10 points while Ben Vander Griend notched 8.
West Point-Beemer did what was expected of them, which was beat Tekamah-Herman soundly.
The Cadets (7-7) host Twin River (9-4) Friday night.
The Titans beat Cross County 54-43 at home Thursday night.
Twin River has won five straight, will be tough for West Pont-Beemer to beat, there's no doubting it.
The Titans have certainly figured things out and got things going as of late.
The Cadets have too though as West Point-Beemer has won three out of their last four and four out of their last six.
It's going to take a monumental effort from the Cadets to beat Twin River, but anything can happen, especially with the game being in West Point.
The Cadets' offense has to come alive and the defense has to perform the way it has for most of the season.
West Point-Beemer has some nice wins this year, and a win over Twin River would be right up there with the BRLD victory, in my opinion.
The Cadets are capable of beating anyone they take the court against, and West Point-Beemer has to believe they can knock off the Titans come Friday night.
Twin River hosts Clarkson/Leigh Thursday night so won't have as much time to prepare for and spend on West Point-Beemer.
The Cadets have to use that to their advantage, and have a good game plan Friday night.
This is a huge game for West Point-Beemer with Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on the road Saturday.
I think the Cadets definitely have a chance to win both games this weekend, but it won't be easy.
If West Point-Beemer could get a split, I think they'd be real happy with that.
It would be sort of disappointing for the Cadets to lose both, but would be understandable, in my opinion.
West Point-Beemer is facing two teams this weekend who are playing really well at the moment, but the Cadets have been on a hot streak as of late too so it will be interesting to see what happens.
The West Point-Beemer Girls won 42-36 at Tekamah-Herman on Saturday.
The Cadets led 14-6 at the end of one. The Tigers won the second quarter 13-8 to make it a 22-19 game at halftime.
West Point-Beemer outscored Tekamah-Herman 12-9 in the third quarter to lead 34-28 at the end of three.
Both teams scored 8 points in the fourth quarter.
Brittney Hinkel led the way with 16 points while Makenna Weddle totaled 8.
It wasn't the prettiest of wins for the Cadets, but it was a win, and that's all that matters.
West Point-Beemer (5-10) hosts Twin River (12-2) Friday night.
The Titans won 50-23 at home over Cross County last time out.
Twin River is a really good team without a doubt. It's going to be awfully tough for the Cadets to win, but anything can happen.
West Point-Beemer has started to play a little bit better lately as they have won three out of their last five.
I look for the Cadets to have and execute a good game plan Friday night.
I think this game definitely has the makings of being close.
The Titans have Clarkson/Leigh on Thursday so West Point-Beemer should have an advantage when it comes to preparation.
I feel the Cadets will be more ready for Twin River than the Titans are for them perhaps.
With that said, Twin River will be fighting for a top four seed in the East Husker Conference Tournament, and will probably give West Point-Beemer everything they've got, and then some.
The Titans have three games in three days, and will probably be very focused and determined Friday night.
With that said, I look for the Cadets to give Twin River their best shot.
I think West Point-Beemer will give the Titans everything they want and then some.
I don't know if the Cadets will win, but I fully expect West Point-Beemer to play well and compete.
The Cadets have come up short against the good teams on their schedule to make me think they're going to win Friday night, but anything can happen.
West Point-Beemer has played a very difficult schedule, and is a better team than their 5-10 record would indicate, in my opinion.
This weekend is also big for the Cadets in terms of East Husker Conference Tournament seeding so we'll see how things shake out.
West Point-Beemer is on the road at Logan View/Scribner-Snyder on Saturday.
