Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Boys 2-1 in last three games; Girls 2-2 in last four

The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Boys were upset 48-45 by Fort Calhoun last Wednesday in the Fort Calhoun Holiday Tournament before winning 54-52 at DC West Tuesday night, and downing the Pioneers 57-55 in Overtime in a rematch at home Thursday night.

Garrett Kriete had 14 points and 7 rebounds while Kayl Francis and Jayden Korman posted 10 apiece in the first Fort Calhoun game.

Kriete had a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds against the Falcons while Connor Larson added 15 points and 7 rebounds. Francis added 11 points.

The Raiders led the Pioneers 18-13 after one in Round 2. LVSS won the 2nd quarter 8-5 to take a 26-18 lead into the locker room.

Fort Calhoun outscored the Raiders 15-8 in the 3rd quarter to make it a 34-33 game at the end of three.

The Pioneers won the 4th quarter 12-11 to tie the game at 45 and send it into OT.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder outlasted Fort Calhoun 12-10 in the extra session.

Kriete led the way with 20 points while Riley Hoetfelker had 13 points and 7 rebounds. Korman added 10 points while Francis notched 8.

Good wins this week. It was unfortunate that the game against Omaha Brownell Talbot last Monday in the Holiday Tournament was cancelled.

The Raiders (6-2) host Stanton (2-9) on Saturday.

The Mustangs lost 60-33 at home to Oakland-Craig Friday night.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder should be able to win this one with little resistance I would think.

The Raiders have to take care of business on Saturday and then get ready for a road contest at Wahoo Neumann on Tuesday.

The game against the Cavaliers will be big no doubt.

I'm anxious to see how that one turns out, but in the meantime LVSS has to take care of business against the Mustangs.

The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Girls were upset 40-39 by Omaha Brownell Talbot in the first round of the Fort Calhoun Holiday Tournament last Monday before winning 44-23 over the host Pioneers in last Wednesday's Consolation Game. The Raiders then lost 61-46 at DC West Tuesday night before beating Fort Calhoun again, 48-35, at home Thursday night.

Brownell Talbot went up 13-10 after one and won the 2nd quarter 14-9 to take a 27-19 lead into the locker room.

LVSS won the 3rd quarter 9-7 to make it a 34-28 game at the end of three.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder won the 4th quarter 11-6.

Sophia Vacha had 17 points and 13 rebounds, good enough for a double-double. Grace Schlueter added 8 points.

LVSS led 13-4 at the end of one in Round 1 over the Pioneers. The Raiders doubled up Fort Calhoun 14-7 in the 2nd quarter to take a 27-11 lead into the locker room.

The Pioneers won the 3rd quarter 10-7 to make it a 34-21 game at the end of three.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder outscored Fort Calhoun 10-2 in the 4th quarter.

Schlueter led the way with 13 points while Josie Kahlandt notched 10. Valerie Uehling added 7.

The Falcons doubled up the Raiders 16-8 in the 1st quarter. LVSS won the 2nd quarter 16-14 to make it a 30-24 game at halftime.

DC West outscored the Raiders 16-10 in the 3rd quarter to go up 46-34 at the end of three.

The Falcons won the 4th quarter 15-12.

Uehling and Kahlandt had 10 points each while Cailey Stout totaled 9/

The Raiders led 6-4 at the end of one in Round 2 against the Pioneers. LVSS won the 2nd quarter 7-6 to take a 13-10 lead into the locker room.

The Raiders outscored Fort Calhoun 20-11 in the 3rd quarter to go up 33-21 at the end of three.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder won the 4th quarter 15-14.

Good performances against the Pioneers.

LVSS (6-4) plays host to Stanton (2-10) on Saturday.

The Mustangs fell 50-28 at home to Oakland-Craig Friday night.

This should be win number 7 on the year for the Raiders.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder would probably of beat Brownell Talbot had the two played any other time besides the first game after the moratorium.

LVSS can't dwell on the past though, they have to focus on the future.

The task at hand is go out there and beat a scrappy bunch in Stanton.

The Raiders have to be focused and must play with aggression and attitude come Saturday.
