The Tri County Northeast Boys lost 63-40 at home to Winnebago Tuesday night.
Bago led 18-4 after one, and outscored the Wolfpack 14-8 in the 2nd quarter to take a 32-12 lead into the locker room.
Winnebago won the 3rd quarter 17-16 to go up 49-28 at the end of three.
Bago won the 4th quarter 14-12.
Reed Hingst had 11 points while Nate Oswald and Kobe Kumm totaled 8 and 7, respectively. Garrett Blanke and Steven Sullivan each had 9 rebounds.
Tough loss for Tri County Northeast.
The Wolfpack (6-4) host Whiting, IA on Saturday.
Whiting also played Tekamah-Herman this year with the Tigers winning 71-9.
So Tri County Northeast should have no trouble with them whatsoever.
The Wolfpack has a chance to go on a bit of a run here before they play Wakefield next Friday.
If Tri County Northeast could take a three-game winning streak into that one it would be big for momentum purposes no doubt.
The Wolfpack also has Homer on Tuesday and Wausa on Thursday of next week.
The Tri County Northeast Girls fell 45-27 at home to Hartington Cedar Catholic on Saturday before losing 69-44 at home to Winnebago Tuesday night.

Cedar Catholic won the 3rd quarter 9-7 to go up 37-19 at the end of three.

Winnebago won the 3rd quarter 14-12 to extend their lead to 51-27 at the end of three.
Bago won the 4th quarter 18-17.
Carly Dickens had 12 points while Rhyanne Mackling totaled 9. Brynn Schock chipped in 8 points and 11 rebounds.
A couple of tough setbacks for the Wolfpack.
Tri County Northeast (4-6) plays host to Whiting, IA on Saturday.
Tekamah-Herman beat Whiting 42-34 when the two teams met earlier this season.
I feel like the Wolfpack will win this one, but it will be close.
Tri County Northeast has to come out and play great Basketball from the onset on Saturday.
The Wolfpack has to use the struggles and growing pains and frustrations of the last two games as motivation on Saturday.
Tri County Northeast has a showdown with Wakefield at home next Friday, and in my opinion could gain a lot of momentum by beating Whiting on Saturday, Homer on Tuesday, and Wausa on Thursday.
