Strong showing against the Gators, but a tough second half against Howells-Dodge.
Pender (1-15) takes on BRLD (8-3) in the first round of the East Husker Conference Tournament at Howells on Saturday.
The Wolverines were last in action last Tuesday, losing 59-55 at Wakefield.
BRLD has been without Lucas Vogt the last two games due to an ankle injury so it will be interesting to see if he is back or not.
If he's not able to play that only helps the Pendragons' cause.
With that said, the Wolverines are still a tough team without him and Pender has their hands full one way or another.
I feel like the Pendragons are a better team than their record and are very capable of playing well and turning things around.
Pender simply has to start over and start fresh and step things up in this tournament.
Saturday's game is scheduled to start at 1:00 p.m. in Howells.
The Pender Girls were upset 40-36 at Wisner-Pilger last Thursday night before rebounding to beat Howells-Dodge 54-38 at home on Saturday.

Pender doubled up Howells-Dodge 16-8 in the 3rd quarter to up their advantage to 47-32 at the end of three.
The Pendragons won the 4th quarter 7-6.
Good response on Saturday following the shocking loss to Wisner-Pilger.
Pender (13-5) hosts Tekamah-Herman (3-13) in the first round of the East Husker Conference Tournament at home Friday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.
The Tigers lost 53-37 at Howells-Dodge Friday night in action also aired on the Bull.
Pender beat the Tigers 68-26 on the road on December 4th.
The Pendragons have to be ready to go and on top of their game in this one.
Tekamah-Herman gave the Jaguars a tussle for quite a while on Friday and Pender knows they need to play well after what happened last Thursday.
No game or win is a sure thing, everything is earned.
The Pendragons have to work and play hard, and earn a win Friday night.
The winner gets West Point-Beemer in North Bend on Monday, and I'm sure that's a matchup Pender would welcome.
The Pendragons have to take care of business against the Tigers first, however.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on the Bull.
