The Wisner-Pilger Boys lost 49-36 at home to West Point-Beemer last Friday night before falling 71-65 at home to Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family Tuesday night.
The Cadets got out to a 12-8 lead at the end of the 1st quarter. Wisner-Pilger won the 2nd quarter 12-10 to make it a 22-20 score at halftime.
West Point-Beemer won the 3rd quarter 12-8 to up their advantage to 34-28 at the end of three.
The Cadets outscored the Gators 15-8 in the 4th quarter.
The Gators led the Bulldogs 22-14 at the end of one, and won the 2nd quarter 22-17 to take a 44-31 lead into the locker room.
H/LHF won the 3rd quarter 16-10 to make it a 54-47 game at the end of three.
The Bulldogs outscored Wisner-Pilger 24-11 in the 4th quarter.
Great first half from the Gators against H/LHF, but unfortunately Wisner-Pilger couldn't hang on.
The Gators (4-7) host Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (9-2) on Saturday.
The Raiders won 63-52 at Bishop Neumann Tuesday night.
Wisner-Pilger has their work cut out for them in this one, but the Gators came out and played well early on against the Bulldogs.
And if Wisner-Pilger can sustain that same level of play and continue it for the entire game then they could very well win.
LVSS doesn't really blow many teams out the Gators should be able to hang in there and make this a ball game at the very least.
The Wisner-Pilger Girls fell 56-21 at home to West Point-Beemer last Friday night before losing 60-46 at home to Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family Tuesday night.
The Cadets got out to a 20-4 lead at the end of one, and outscored Wisner-Pilger 21-5 in the 2nd quarter to take a 41-9 lead into the locker room.
West Point-Beemer won the 3rd quarter 13-7 to up the advantage to 54-16 at the end of three.
The Gators won the 4th quarter 5-2.
Wisner-Pilger and H/LHF were tied at 11 at the end of one. The Bulldogs outscored the Gators 18-5 in the 2nd quarter to take a 29-16 lead into the locker room.
H/LHF outscored Wisner-Pilger 16-9 in the 3rd quarter to go up 45-25 at the end of three.
The Gators won the 4th quarter 21-15.
I thought Wisner-Pilger played quite a bit better on Tuesday than they did last Friday.
The Gators (4-8) host Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (6-6) on Saturday.
The Raiders lost 62-24 at Bishop Neumann Tuesday night.
This should be a great game that comes down to the wire.
I think this is one Wisner-Pilger can definitely get.
The biggest thing for the Gators though is being consistent.
Wisner-Pilger has played well at times this year, but really struggled at others.
LVSS is stumbling coming into this one having lost 3 out of their last 4 so perhaps the Gators will be able to get the Raiders on Saturday.
