Omaha Nation won the 3rd quarter 10-9 to make it a 35-32 game at the end of three.

The Chiefs doubled up the Pendragons 20-10 in the 4th quarter.

The theme of these three losses was being unable to finish in the 4th quarter.

Pender (1-11) plays host to Clarkson/Leigh (5-5) on Saturday.

The Patriots won 55-35 at Tekamah-Herman on Saturday of last week.

The Pendragons are definitely capable and up to the task of beating Clarkson//Leigh they just have to close out the game better.

Pender has to play the way they did the first 3 quarters in each of their last three games in the 4th quarter of Saturday's game.

I don't know if the Pendragons tense up and get nervous or what the deal is, but Pender has to find a way to finish games.

Pender is a much better team than their record and could easily have quite a few more wins right now.

A win on Saturday would perhaps spark and ignite a little bit of a run so let's see if the Pendragons can find a way to win.

The Pender Girls upset Class C-1, No. 1 North Bend Central 49-42 at home last Friday night before blasting Homer 65-20 at home Tuesday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull. The Pendragons then rolled 66-18 at home over Omaha Nation Thursday night.

The Tigers led the Pendragons 12-10 at the end of one. Both teams scored 11 points in the 2nd quarter, and NBC still led 23-21 at halftime.

Pender outscored the Tigers 13-6 in the 3rd quarter to go up 34-29 at the end of three.

The Pendragons won the 4th quarter 15-13.

Pender led the Knights 16-7 after one, and outscored Homer 19-8 in the 2nd quarter to take a 35-15 lead into the locker room.

The Pendragons outscored the Knights 18-3 in the 3rd quarter to go up 53-18 at the end of three.

Pender outscored Homer 12-2 in the 4th quarter.

The Pendragons led the Chiefs 21-1 at the end of the 1st quarter. Pender outscored Omaha Nation 16-6 in the 2nd quarter to take a 37-7 lead into the locker room.

The Pendragons outscored the Chiefs 26-5 in the 3rd quarter to build a 63-12 lead at the end of three.

Omaha Nation doubled up Pender 6-3 in the 4th quarter.

Very impressive and dominant stretch of games for the Pendragons.

Pender (12-3) plays host to Class C-2, No. 1 Clarkson/Leigh (13-0) on Saturday.

The Patriots won 59-29 at Tekamah-Herman on Saturday of last week.

The Pendragons slayed one giant in North Bend Central, can they do it again on Saturday?

I think so.

And here's why:

I feel that Pender is a bit more dynamic offensively than the Patriots.

Clarkson/Leigh plays great defense, but so do the Pendragons and so did the Tigers.

The Patriots struggle to put up a lot of points at times and North Bend Central had an off game last Friday.

The Patriots could very well win, but if Ashley Ostrand can get going then Pender might get it done.

It should be a great game either way for sure.
