Winnebago Boys come up short against Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, beat Tri County Northeast; Girls down both

The Winnebago Boys fell 56-53 at Laurel-Concord-Coleridge last Friday night before winning 63-40 at Tri County Northeast Tuesday night.

The Bears led 6-5 after one before Bago doubled up Laurel-Concord-Coleridge 18-9 to take a 23-15 lead into the locker room.

The Bears outscored Bago 19-10 in the 3rd quarter to regain the lead at 34-33 at the end of three.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge won the 4th quarter 22-20.

Bago led  Tri County Northeast 18-4 after one, and outscored the Wolfpack 14-8 in the 2nd quarter to take a 32-12 lead into the locker room.

Winnebago won the 3rd quarter 17-16 to go up 49-28 at the end of three.

Bago won the 4th quarter 14-12.

I thought Winnebago really played good basketball in both games and really stepped and picked things up.

Winnebago (5-7) takes on Ponca (7-6) on the road Tuesday night.

Ponca lost 57-51 at BRLD on Saturday.

Ponca is a solid team, and it won't be easy for Winnebago to go into their house and beat them.

With that said, Bago can definitely go in there and do it.

Winnebago has played well their last couple of games and gotten back on track a little bit.

I'm anxious to see what Bago does on Tuesday.

I think this game is going to be a nail biter and come down to the wire.

It should be a heck of a game there's no doubt about that.

A win would be huge for Winnebago.

Let's hope they can find a way to win.

The Winnebago Girls won 55-49 at Laurel-Concord-Coleridge last Friday night before upending Tri County Northeast 69-44 on the road Tuesday night.

Bago led the Wolfpack 19-5 after one, and outscored Tri County Northeast 18-10 in the 2nd quarter to take a 37-15 lead into the locker room.

Winnebago won the 3rd quarter 14-12 to extend their lead to 51-27 at the end of three.

Bago won the 4th quarter 18-17.

Nice job by Winnebago getting back on track.

Winnebago (6-7) takes on Ponca (12-2) on the road Tuesday night.

Ponca fell 63-53 at BRLD on Saturday.

A huge challenge in this one for Winnebago, but Bago has played Ponca tough in the past.

I look for Winnebago to give Ponca all they can ever want and handle in this one.

We'll find out just how back on track Bago is in this one.

It should be a heck of a game.

Winnebago is definitely going to need to play their best basketball and be on top of their game to come out on top.

It's going to take a great and tremendous effort on Bago's part for them to win.

Winnebago can definitely do it though they just have to believe and must expect to win.
