The Oakland-Craig Boys won 71-40 at Tekamah-Herman Tuesday night.
The Knights got out to a 13-7 lead at the end of one, and won the 2nd quarter 12-8 to take a 25-15 lead into the locker room.
Oakland-Craig outscored Tekamah-Herman 26-17 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 51-32 at the end of three.
The Knights outscored the Tigers 20-8 in the 4th quarter.
Gunnar Ray led the way with 26 points while Coulter Thiele recorded 13. Carson Thomsen and Amon Bryan had 7 apiece.
Strong second half from Oakland-Craig.
The Knights (13-2) take on North Bend Central (10-1) on the road Thursday night.
The Tigers won 76-53 at home over Columbus Scotus Tuesday night.
This should be a whale of a game.
I fully expect things to be super tight and close throughout.
I think starting fast and finishing strong is key for Oakland-Craig.
I think if the Knights can punch North Bend Central in the mouth and get out to an early lead, and then weather storms in the 2nd and 3rd quarters, and have a big 4th quarter, they can win.
It won't be easy to beat the Tigers at their place, but Oakland-Craig hasn't won 13 straight for nothing.
I'm anticipating a highly entertaining, action packed game come Thursday night.
The Oakland-Craig Girls won 51-36 at Tekamah-Herman Tuesday night.
It was a win, but now the real tests come for the Knights.
Oakland-Craig (9-5) takes on North Bend Central (11-1) on the road Thursday night.
The Tigers won 47-26 at home over Columbus Scotus Tuesday night.
It should be an interesting ball game for sure.
North Bend Central is tough, especially at home.
The Knights have to play big inside and knock down shots.
Oakland-Craig has to rely on their guards and perimeter play to defeat the mighty Tigers.
The Knights must also play strong defense, especially inside in the post against the Emanuel's.
Oakland-Craig has to box out and rebound well also.
If the Knights can play a great game then they may be able to pull it off.
It's going to be tough, but anything can happen.
