Good games from Clarkson/Leigh with the exception of the Shelby-Rising City game.
The Patriots (3-7) host Tekamah-Herman (3-7) on Saturday in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.
The Tigers lost 67-49 at home to Omaha Brownell Talbot Tuesday night.
Of course Tekamah-Herman snapped their long losing streak last year with a win over Clarkson/Leigh.
You can bet the Patriots will want to get the Tigers back for that one.
I look for Clarkson/Leigh to come out and play well and inspired on Saturday.
I feel the game will be relatively low scoring and will come down to the final minutes.
It should be a great game between two teams who really get after things.
I look for things to be close and tightly contested throughout.
I will have the pleasure of getting behind the mic and calling the game on Saturday.
I'm really looking forward to it as it will be my first ever time to Clarkson High School.
If you can't make it to the game I hope you can tune in to 107.9 the Bull to listen.
I think the Patriots being at home is an advantage for Clarkson/Leigh.
I feel the Patriots have a good shot to win based on that reason alone.
We will see what happens, but Clarkson/Leigh has played some good basketball in 3 out of their last 4 games.
The Patriots have been solid defensively, and I feel that has made a difference for Clarkson/Leigh.
I think it's offense and scoring that will make the difference in this one.
I feel whichever offense can produce the most and score that will allow their team to win the game.
Both teams play solid defense, but who can score more and win the game? That ultimately remains to be seen.
It should be a heck of a fun game between the two squads and I'm really looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.
The Clarkson/Leigh Girls are playing some great basketball right now as the Patriots won 43-38 over Arcadia/Loup City at the Shelby-Rising City Holiday Tournament on Friday, December 27th before winning the championship over the host Huskies, 72-25, on Saturday, December 28th. Clarkson/Leigh then won 63-34 at home over Columbus Lakeview Friday night, and 39-36 at home over David City Aquinas Tuesday night.

The Patriots won the 4th quarter 13-12.
Hoffman finished with 10 points while Stodola totaled 7.
Continued great play from Clarkson/Leigh. The Patriots have really come on lately.
Clarkson/Leigh (8-3) takes on East Butler (6-4) on the road Friday night.
The Tigers won 61-24 at College View Academy Thursday night.
East Butler is a solid team, but the Tigers just don't play the caliber of schedule or teams that the Patriots play.
And for that reason I think Clarkson/Leigh will win.
The Patriots also have Tekamah-Herman on Saturday, and that game should be really low scoring and defensive.
A couple of challenges for Clarkson/Leigh this weekend, and it should be an action packed weekend of basketball for the Patriots.
I'm looking forward to being a part of it on Saturday as I'll have the call for the Tekamah-Herman game.
It will be awesome calling some Patriot basketball from Clarkson, a first for me.
I look forward to the game, and am curious to see how the Patriots do on Friday against East Butler.
It will be interesting to see what effect, if any, the road trip has on Clarkson/Leigh on Saturday.
It's a 3:30 start time on Saturday so a quick turnaround for the Patriots.
Hopefully Clarkson/Leigh can get their legs underneath them and do well.
I think they will. After all, the Patriots have won 6 in a row.
I look for Clarkson/Leigh to make it 7 on Friday and possibly 8 on Saturday.
If the Patriots can get through this weekend with wins and can pick up a couple of wins next weekend over Humphrey St. Francis and Pender they will be sitting really pretty the rest of the regular season.
Clarkson/Leigh still has a lot of work to do, but the Patriots have to feel pretty confident with where they are at right now.
Clarkson/Leigh has to keep winning, and must continue to grow and improve while winning.
It's a lot easier to get better and make strides when you're winning.
The Patriots have to feel pretty good about where things stand at the moment.
