The North Bend Central Boys Basketball Team knocked off Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 51-33 at home last Friday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull before winning 73-32 at Arlington Tuesday night and rallying to defeat Wayne 55-53 in overtime Thursday night.
The Raiders jumped out to a 15-4 at the end of one before NBC won the 2nd quarter 15-7 to make it a 22-19 game at halftime.
The Tigers outscored LVSS 14-3 in the 3rd quarter to pull in front 33-25 at the end of three.
North Bend Central outscored the Raiders 18-8 in the 4th quarter.
Cody Prohaska led the way with 14 points while Austin Endorf totaled 12. Jaxon Wietfeld added 10.
The Tigers went up 14-8 on the Blue Devils at the end of one. Wayne outscored NBC 19-6 in the 2nd quarter to take a 27-20 lead into the locker room.
The Blue Devils won the 3rd quarter 8-7 to increase their lead to 35-27 at the end of three.
North Bend Central outscored Wayne 23-15 in the 4th quarter to tie the game at 50 and send it into OT.
The Tigers outlasted the Blue Devils 5-3 in the extra session.
Really close call for North Bend Central Thursday night, but the Tigers found a way to win.
NBC (12-0) is scheduled to host Fremont Bergan (6-6) on Saturday.
The Knights lost 52-49 at home to Arlington on Saturday.
I don't know if the Eagles were hungover from the win over Bergan or if the Tigers just played that well, but based on how both teams did against Arlington you would think North Bend Central will win big.
Might not be the case though.
The Tigers were really challenged against Wayne, and nearly lost the game.
North Bend Central won though, and I'm sure the Tigers want to go out and dominate on Saturday.
NBC has Scotus and Oakland-Craig next week, both on the road, and so I think it's important for the Tigers to play well on Saturday to build momentum and get ready for the Shamrocks and O-C.
It appears the weather is worse in the Fremont area than further north so I'm not 100% sure if these games are going to get played, but I would think they would.
A postponement would be tough, but would be something both teams would just simply have to deal with.
North Bend Central needs to get ready to play a great game though.
The Tigers are undefeated, and should play another remarkable game on Saturday.
NBC can't play the way they did for three quarters against Wayne though.
If the Tigers play that way again then it could come back to haunt them and prove to be costly this time around.
If North Bend Central plays lights out like they have for much of the season then it should be another big win.
The Tigers have to play with tremendous effort, heart, passion, pride, toughness, tenacity, fight, and grit.
NBC has to take it to Bergan for four quarters, and not let up at any point in the game.
I'm sure the Tigers would love to dominate the Knights, and they are in a great position to do so.
The North Bend Central Girls routed Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 60-14 at home last Friday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull before winning 50-20 at Arlington Tuesday night, and dominating Wayne 65-30 on the road Thursday night.
The Tigers led the Raiders 25-6 after one, and outscored LVSS 16-5 in the 2nd quarter to take a 41-11 lead into the locker room.
NBC outscored the Raiders 13-3 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 54-14 at the end of three.
The Tigers blanked Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 6-0 in the 4th quarter.
Megan Ortmeier paced the Tigers with 13 points while Kaitlyn Emanuel had 12. Lauren Emanuel and Sydney Emanuel each recorded 11.
NBC led the Eagles 12-5 at the end of one, and outscored Arlington 13-4 in the 2nd quarter to take a 25-9 lead into the locker room.
The Tigers tripled up the Eagles 12-4 in the 3rd quarter to take a 37-13 lead into the locker room.
North Bend Central won the 4th quarter 13-7.
The Tigers went up 20-7 on the Blue Devils at the end of one. NBC won the 2nd quarter 14-8 to go up 34-15 at halftime.
The Tigers outscored Wayne 17-6 in the 3rd quarter to increase their lead to 51-21 at the end of three.
North Bend Central won the 4th quarter 14-9.
Continued dominant play from the Tigers.
North Bend Central (13-0) is scheduled to host Fremont Bergan (7-5) on Saturday.
The Knights lost 54-42 at home to GACC Thursday night.
I anticipate the Tigers winning this one, perhaps pretty big.
The game could be close too, but I feel like NBC could dominate and run away with things as well.
We'll see what happens, and if they even get the game in.
I would anticipate they would, but you never know.
The Tigers have to continue their dominant ways of the entire season so far.
North Bend Central has to play exceptionally well against Bergan, and must play their game.
The Tigers have to play suffocating, in your face defense.
NBC is a C-1 School and Bergan is a D-1 team so advantage North Bend Central.
The Tigers are undefeated and at home too so there's no reason to think that they won't win.
I look for North Bend Central to dominate, and win anywhere from like 15-20 points.
I feel like the game could be closer than some think, but based on how the Tigers have played all year I wouldn't doubt if it isn't.
North Bend Central is so tall, long, and athletic, and is a nightmare matchup for a lot of teams.
The Tigers are on the cusp of greatness and are having a fantastic season, and need to continue their winning ways on Saturday.
North Bend Central needs an effort similar to what they got against Seward earlier in the season.
The Tigers really came out and dominated the Bluejays from start to finish, and that needs to happen against the Knights again on Saturday.
NBC has to get off to a strong and fast start, and must put Bergan in a deep hole and force them to play from behind.
If the Tigers do that then they should have no trouble with the Knights whatsoever.
