The Pirates (2-6) take on Siouxland Community Christian, IA at the CNOS Classic at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City on Thursday.
I know absolutely nothing about Siouxland Community Christian, IA.
This is a big game and a big stage for Emerson-Hubbard though.
Things haven't gone or turned out the way the Pirates would have liked so far, but perhaps Emerson-Hubbard is trending in the right direction.
The win over Whiting was a big step in the right direction, and Hall scoring the way he did was huge.
That and holding them to under 50 points was a big deal also.
The Pirates have to step things up in this big of a stage.
Emerson-Hubbard has to play better than they have all season long.
The Pirates have to play well and extremely hard come Thursday night.
Emerson-Hubbard has to get jacked and fired up, and must be ready to go for four quarters.
The Pirates have to get ready to ball for 32 minutes, and play their brand of basketball.
Emerson-Hubbard has to be high flying and must get out and run and attack the basket.
Crashing the glass and following shots is going to be important for the Pirates as well I feel.
Emerson-Hubbard has to play with a ton of pride, passion, toughness, grit, fire, and determination.
The Pirates must play with the heart of a champion, and be ready to take things to the brink with Siouxland Christian.
Emerson-Hubbard has to do what they can to win this one, and make it a great game.
The Pirates have to perform well on the big stage, and raise their level of play.
Emerson-Hubbard has to do everything they can to have a good showing in this one.
The Pirates must play hard from start to finish, and do everything in their power to put on a show and pick up a win.

The Wolfpack won the 4th quarter 6-5.
Mackling and Brianna Bousquet each had 7 points while Schock notched 7 rebounds.
Whiting, IA doubled up the Pirates 8-4 in the 1st quarter, and outscored Emerson-Hubbard 15-8 in the 2nd quarter to take a 23-12 lead into the locker room.

Both teams scored 8 points in the 4th quarter.
Bousquet had 8 points while Schock registered 18 rebounds.
I think not having Mackling really hurt the Pirates against River Valley.
Emerson-Hubbard (1-8) battles Siouxland Community Christian, IA on Saturday.
I know absolutely nothing about Siouxland Christian.
All I know is the Pirates need Mackling back, and need to improve their scoring output.
Emerson-Hubbard remains low on numbers and depth, and scoring has been the biggest issue.
Schock has done a heck of a job rebounding the ball though.
Bousquet and Parker-Diaz have complemented Mackling well at times also, and that has been a big deal and lift for the Pirates.
Emerson-Hubbard needs more of it though.
More girls have to get involved on both ends of the floor for the Pirates.
And depending how long Mackling is out, other girls may be called upon to step up and contribute.
Emerson-Hubbard has to fight hard and do everything in their power to knock off Siouxland Christian on Saturday.
The Boys play them in Sioux City on Thursday, but the NSAA website has it listed as a home game for the Girls.
Different days and it looks like different locations for each game.
The Pirates have come in and play their hearts out and out of their minds on Saturday.
Emerson-Hubbard has to fight hard and play with the heart of a champion.
Many tough challenges lie ahead for the Pirates so Emerson-Hubbard has to keep fighting and battling and improving.
It hasn't been the easiest season for the Pirates by any stretch of the imagination, but you have to credit Emerson-Hubbard for continuing to fight and never giving up.
The Pirates have to keep finding ways to get better and grow each and every day.
Emerson-Hubbard has the whole week to practice and prepare so they should be ready to go come Saturday.
