The West Point-Beemer Boys Basketball Team fell 73-27 to Auburn at the Great Northeast Nebraska Shootout in Wayne on Friday, December 27th before falling 59-37 to Auburn on Saturday, December 28th in a Wayne Holiday Tournament Consolation Game, and losing 63-55 to Pender for 7th place last Monday. The Cadets then beat Fort Calhoun 45-44 on a buzzer beater at home Tuesday night.

The Pioneers led West Point-Beemer 17-11 after one. Both teams scored 6 points in the 2nd quarter, and Fort Calhoun led 23-17 at halftime.

The Pioneers won the 3rd quarter 11-9 to go up 34-26 at the end of three.

The Cadets outscored Fort Calhoun 19-10 in the 4th quarter to earn the come from behind win.

A real feel good win for West Point-Beemer given how things had been going for them prior.

The Cadets (2-7) host Wisner-Pilger (6-3) Friday night.

The Gators won 62-49 at home over Arlington Tuesday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull.

West Point-Beemer is going to have their hands full with Wisner-Pilger there's no doubt about it.

The Gators are a very good, experienced, and senior laden team.

The Cadets have to step up and play well and tough and hard though.

West Point-Beemer has to use the win over the Pioneers as something to build off of and upon.

It's an extremely difficult weekend of games for the Cadets with BRLD on the road Saturday as well, but West Point-Beemer has to step things up and compete to the best of their ability.

The Cadets can definitely do well and compete hard this weekend, but West Point-Beemer is going up against two very good teams.

To be the best you have to beat the best though, and I think just competing and keeping things close with both teams would be a real positive step in the right direction for the Cadets.

West Point-Beemer should feel good about their win Tuesday night, and use it as a springboard to even bigger and better things.

Wisner-Pilger is a rival, and the Cadets have to come out and play beyond and above themselves Friday night.

West Point-Beemer has to play with a sense of purpose and urgency Friday night, and must be ready to go toe to toe with the Gators.

The Cadets have to play hard, smart, and well for four quarters, and must stay energized at all times.

West Point-Beemer has to be ready to go hard for four quarters, and go at it against two of the top teams in the conference.

The next three games figure to really challenge the Cadets, but West Point-Beemer has to use the games as motivation and must rise to the occasion.

The Cadets have to be tough minded and must be ready for a full 32 minute battle.

West Point-Beemer has to fight hard and battle no matter what happens.

The Cadets have to put forth a great effort, and be ready to rock and roll Friday night.

The Cadets won the 4th quarter 10-8.

Swanson had a game-high 28 points and 7 rebounds while Weddle notched 8 points and 8 rebounds.

Magnificent stretch of games for West Point-Beemer.

The Cadets (6-3) entertain Fremont Bergan (6-3) at home Thursday night.

The Knights beat Plattsmouth 45-35 at the Ashland-Greenwood Holiday Tournament last Monday.

This is going to be a very challenging game for West Point-Beemer.

One the Cadets can definitely win though.

It should be a low-scoring affair, and with West Point-Beemer being the bigger school and at home I feel they have the advantage.

Both teams played Omaha Roncalli with the Cadets winning by 2 and the Knights winning by 9 the first time and losing by 6 the second time.

It will be interesting to see what happens as it should be a very good game.

If the Cadets can get this one they should be 8-3 heading into Saturday's battle at undefeated BRLD.

It's three games in three days for West Point-Beemer, and the Cadets have to be ready to go.

It will be interesting to see what West Point-Beemer has left in the tank for Saturday's game, but the first order of business is beat the Knights.

If that happens, or regardless of how the game turns out, the Cadets should be able to put away Wisner-Pilger early enough to rest starters and get backups valuable minutes on the floor.

You know West Point-Beemer will be eyeing a victory at BRLD after the Wolverines handed the Cadets their first loss of the season last year.

BRLD is off until Saturday so they will be well rested.

It will be really interesting to see how that game turns out.

West Point-Beemer has Bergan and Wisner-Pilger to worry about first though, and both of those games are just as important as the BRLD game.

This is the time of year where I look for the Cadets to shine and make a run at things.

After Tuesday the schedule looks pretty favorable for much of the rest of the regular season for West Point-Beemer so if the Cadets can have less than 5 or be right at 5 losses after the Battle Creek game that wouldn't be too bad.

And once Reece Snodgrass is eligible I look for West Point-Beemer to really take off.
