Tekamah-Herman Boys and Girls lose to Clarkson/Leigh and BRLD, beat Madison

The Tekamah-Herman Boys Basketball Team lost 78-48 at Clarkson/Leigh on Saturday in action aired on 107.9 the Bull before falling 73-29 at BRLD Tuesday night, and winning 83-59 at home over Madison Thursday night.

The Patriots started the game on a 10-0 run. The Tigers eventually pulled within 4 at 12-8 before Clarkson/Leigh went up 16-8.

The Patriots wound up leading 26-13 at the end of one and 46-23 at halftime.

Clarkson/Leigh won the 3rd quarter 17-12 to go up 63-35 at the end of three.

The Patriots put up 15 points in the 4th quarter compared to Tekamah-Herman's 13 and won 78-48.

Jed Hoover led the Tigers with a team-high 20 points. Clay Beaumont and Brock Rogers added 10 apiece.

BRLD led the Tigers 26-10 after one, and outscored them 28-8 in the 2nd quarter to take a 54-28 halftime lead.

The Wolverines won the 3rd quarter 13-7 to extend their lead to 67-35 at the end of three.

BRLD won the 4th quarter 6-4.

The Tigers led the Dragons 21-6 after one, and outscored them 21-10 in the 2nd quarter to take a 42-16 lead into the locker room.

Great response for Tekamah-Herman Thursday night following two tough losses.

The Tigers (4-9) take on West Point-Beemer (2-11) on the road Saturday.

The Cadets lost 48-32 at Schuyler Thursday night.

I feel like Tekamah-Herman has a great chance to win this one.

West Point-Beemer is very young and inexperienced, and is having a down year.

The Cadets really struggle to score and stop people, and I feel like the Tigers can win if they find the holes in West Point-Beemer's defense.

Tekamah-Herman also needs to defend well to be successful, in my opinion.

The Tigers are doing some nice things this season, and need to keep it up.

The schedule is very challenging after Saturday so Tekamah-Herman needs to do all they can to pick up the win.

I feel this game could come down to a buzzer beating type shot for one of the teams.

Both Cadet wins have come on game winning buzzer beaters after big 4th quarter rallies.

Perhaps it can be the Tigers that give West Point-Beemer a little taste of their own medicine on Saturday.

Tekamah-Herman has to get off to a strong start and play well for four quarters.

The Tigers need to play a complete game, and take it to the Cadets for 32 minutes.

I feel the start to the game will be key for Tekamah-Herman.

Clarkson/Leigh came out on fire last Saturday and the Tigers were never able to recover.

Tekamah-Herman has to reverse their fortune against West Point-Beemer so to speak, and be the team that jumps out to a big lead this time.

The game was originally scheduled to be aired on 107.9 the Bull, but due to tonight's BRLD/Oakland-Craig games getting postponed tonight and rescheduled for Saturday, we will have those games on instead.

Saturday's game in West Point figures to be a dandy, and it should be a heck of a game that comes down to the final minutes or even seconds.

The Tekamah-Herman Girls lost 57-30 at Clarkson/Leigh on Saturday in action aired on 107.9 the Bull before falling 67-43 at BRLD Tuesday night. The Tigers then rebounded to win 42-17 at home over Madison Thursday night.

The Tigers led 3-2 in the 1st quarter over Clarkson/Leigh before the Patriots went on a 10-0 run to go up 12-3.

Clarkson/Leigh led 15-5 at the end of one and 29-11 at halftime.

The Patriots added to their lead in the second half, outscoring Tekamah-Herman 14-6 in the 3rd quarter.

Clarkson/Leigh won the 4th quarter 14-13.

Jadyn Fleischman led all scorers with 14 points.

BRLD led the Tigers 20-8 after one, and outscored them 14-5 in the 2nd quarter to take a 34-13 lead into the locker room.

Tekamah-Herman won the 3rd quarter 15-14 to make it a 48-28 game at the end of three.

The Wolverines won the 4th quarter 19-15.

Fleischman had a double-double of 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Tigers.

Tekamah-Herman led the Dragons 10-4 after one, and outscored Madison 14-3 in the 2nd quarter to take a 24-7 lead into the locker room.

The Tigers doubled up the Dragons 8-4 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 32-11 at the end of three.

Tekamah-Herman won the 4th quarter 10-6.

Fleischman had a double-double of 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Great individual play from Fleischman as of late and great team win over Madison.

The Tigers (9-4) travel to West Point-Beemer on Saturday to battle the Cadets (10-4).

West Point-Beemer defeated Schuyler 52-17 on the road Thursday night.

The Cadets also won 47-32 at Battle Creek Tuesday night in action aired on 107.9 the Bull.

West Point-Beemer is a very good team that is only getting better.

Tekamah-Herman is having a nice year, but the Tigers need to play better than they did last Saturday.

The Tigers have to be more efficient on the offensive end.

Much easier said than done though given how good the Cadets are defensively.

West Point-Beemer is a very strong defensive team, and is hard to score against.

Tekamah-Herman has to continue to pound the ball inside to Fleischman and let her go to work.

The Cadets aren't the tallest team so I feel she can have some success inside.

I think the perimeter game is what will decide this one though.

I think it's key and vital for the Tigers to knock down perimeter jump shots as well as try and slow down Sidney Swanson.

West Point-Beemer really did a nice job of getting to the free throw line on Tuesday, especially in the first half.

I'm sure the Cadets will look to continue that on Saturday, and try and get Fleischman and others in foul trouble.

Tekamah-Herman has to play good, sound, fundamental defense without fouling.

The game was originally going to be broadcast on 107.9 the Bull, but due to tonight's BRLD/Oakland-Craig games getting postponed and being made up on Saturday, we will no longer be carrying this game on the Bull.

I feel like the Tigers have their work cut out for them, but have an opportunity to do well and be successful.

Tekamah-Herman is going to have to play a great game to come out on top, but it can definitely happen.
