The Oakland-Craig Boys Basketball Team won the Malcolm Holiday Tournament, defeating Wilber-Clatonia 54-35 on Friday, December 27th before defeating Centennial 43-29 in Saturday, December 28th's Championship Game. The Knights also won 81-57 at Omaha Nation Friday night, and 66-54 at home over GACC Tuesday night.

The Knights outscored GACC 20-9 in the 4th quarter.

Seagren had 17 points and 12 rebounds, good enough for a double-double. Thiele added 17 points while Colton Thomsen recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds. Nelson chipped in 7 points.

Oakland-Craig simply continues to roll.

The Knights (10-2) host Stanton (1-10) Friday night.

The Mustangs fell 57-32 at Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family on Saturday.

As I mentioned in my post for Stanton, it's a battle of two teams headed in opposite directions.

Oakland-Craig has won 10 in a row while the Mustangs have dropped 9 straight.

The Knights should be able to roll in this one, but have to come ready to play.

I kind of thought Oakland-Craig had to turn things on against Wilber-Clatonia and Omaha Nation as opposed to playing a complete game.

This game against Stanton is a contest where the Knights need to play well from the onset and build a big lead and put the Mustangs away early and get backups in the game and rest starters.

The last thing Oakland-Craig wants is for Stanton to hang around and make it a game of things.

O-C has a long road trip to Elmwood-Murdock on Saturday so Oakland-Craig has to take care of business against the Mustangs Friday night, and get ready for Saturday's game.

Oakland-Craig has to play well and hard against Stanton.

The Knights can't take the Mustangs lightly or for granted.

Oakland-Craig has to respect Stanton and their abilities and what they can do.

The Knights have to come out and dominate from start to finish.

Oakland-Craig has to get fired up and leave no doubt Friday night.

The Knights have to flex their muscles and play above the rim.

Oakland-Craig has to continue to dominate like they have lately, and continue to roll Friday night.

The Knights have to come into this game mentally prepared and focused.

Oakland-Craig can't be looking ahead to BRLD this weekend.

O-C has to worry about beating Stanton and Elmwood-Murdock first, and then they can worry about the Wolverines next Friday.

The Oakland-Craig Girls also won the Malcolm Holiday Tournament, downing Wilber-Clatonia 61-12 on Friday, December 27th before defeating Centennial 55-41 in Saturday, December 28th's Championship game. The Knights also won 78-24 at Omaha Nation Friday night.

Oakland-Craig led the Wolverines 30-0 at the end of one and outscored Wilber-Clatonia 19-5 in the 2nd quarter to take a 49-5 lead into the locker room.

The Knights won the 3rd quarter 7-2 to go up 56-7 at the end of three.

Both teams scored 5 points in the 4th quarter.

Kennedy Benne had 23 points while Sydney Guzinski totaled 11. Sadie and Chaney Nelson added 8 apiece.

The Knights led the Broncos 17-10 after one, and outscored Centennial 20-12 in the 2nd quarter to take a 37-22 lead into the locker room.

The Broncos won the 3rd quarter 13-7 to make it a 44-35 game at the end of three.

Oakland-Craig won the 4th quarter 11-6.

Benne led all scorers with 26 points while Jeannina Blahak notched 8 rebounds.

The Knights quadrupled up the Chiefs 20-5 in the 1st quarter, and outscored Omaha Nation 30-4 in the 2nd quarter to lead 50-9 at halftime.

Oakland-Craig won the 3rd quarter 20-13 to go up 70-22 at the end of three.

The Knights won the 4th quarter 8-2.

Benne led the way with 27 points while Nelson totaled 20. Guzinski added 12 while Edie Anderson contributed 8.

Continued domination from Oakland-Craig.

The Knights (11-0) entertain Stanton (2-9) Friday night.

The Mustangs lost 70-27 at Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family on Saturday.

Oakland-Craig should be able to dominate in this one.

Stanton has come on lately and won a couple of games, but the Mustangs have struggled as a whole this season.

Nothing appears to be slowing down the Knights right now.

Oakland-Craig takes on Elmwood-Murdock on the road Saturday, and so with the long road trip O-C needs to take care of business early on Friday and give their starters rest.

It will be interesting to see how Oakland-Craig handles the long road trip to Southeast Nebraska after playing the night before.

Elmwood-Murdock got O-C once before so Oakland-Craig has to vow not to let it happen again.

O-C should go 2-0 this weekend, but the Knights have to come out and play well and perform at a high level.

Oakland-Craig has to keep doing what they've been doing lately, and keep winning.

The Knights appear to be even better this year than they were last year.

That's really saying something too given how good Oakland-Craig was last year.

The Knights have some big battles and games coming up though so they have to be ready.

The first order of business is beating Stanton and Elmwood-Murdock this weekend.

Oakland-Craig has to stay focused and in the moment as much as possible.

If the Knights do that then they should be fine both days.

I can't picture a scenario in which Oakland-Craig goes away from what they've been doing lately.

I look for it to be another good weekend of basketball for the Knights, and I look for Oakland-Craig to dominate both Stanton and Elmwood-Murdock.

I look for two wins from the Knights this weekend at the very least.
