Tekamah-Herman Boys 0-3 in last three games; Girls 2-1 in same span

The Tekamah-Herman Boys Basketball Team's woes continue as the Tigers lost 66-34 at home over Madison Friday night, 65-24 at West Point-Beemer on Saturday, and 63-24 at Oakland-Craig Tuesday night.

The Dragons led Tekamah-Herman 40-10 at halftime. Madison outscored the Tigers 15-11 in the 2nd quarter to go up 55-21 at the end of three.

Tekamah-Herman won the 4th quarter 23-11.

The Cadets tripled up the Tigers 15-5 in the 1st quarter, and outscored Tekamah-Herman 19-7 in the 2nd quarter to take a 34-12 lead into the locker room.

West Point-Beemer doubled up the Tigers 20-10 in the 3rd quarter to go up 54-22 at the end of three.

The Cadets won the 4th quarter 11-2.

The Knights jumped out to a 27-4 lead after one before outscoring the Tigers 22-4 in the 2nd quarter to take a 49-8 lead into the locker room.

Oakland-Craig won the 3rd quarter 12-11 to go up 61-19 at the end of three,

Tekamah-Herman won the 4th quarter 5-2.

Connor Feiling led the Tigers with 12 points.

I thought the Tigers did a nice job of continuing to fight hard and play well in the 4th quarter against the Dragons and Knights.

Tekamah-Herman (0-13) hosts Fort Calhoun (2-12) Thursday night in High School Basketball on 107.9 the Bull.

The Pioneers lost 76-33 at Yutan on Saturday.

This should be a good game, and the Tigers figure to have a shot to make this one close and perhaps win it.

I thought Tekamah-Herman might put things all together for a game and win on Friday, but I was wrong about that.

I think the Tigers have a chance to do that against Fort Calhoun, but it doesn't figure to be easy.

Tekamah-Herman has to go out there and play as well as they can though.

Chances to win a game are running out for the Tigers so Tekamah-Herman has to do everything in their power to win this one.

These two teams could very well meet in Sub-Districts as well so I think it's important for the Tigers to keep this one close at least if not win to give themselves confidence and momentum for the East Husker Conference and Sub-District Tournaments.

Tekamah-Herman has to go out and battle hard and play as tenacious as possible Thursday night.

The Tigers have to get amped, jacked, psyched, and fired up, and must be ready to play above their abilities.

Tekamah-Herman has to play with a sense of urgency and reckless abandonment that allows them to play above themselves.

The Tigers have to go out there confident and with high self esteem, and must believe they can win.

It has been a long tough season for Tekamah-Herman, but a win Thursday night would make the Tigers' season without a doubt.

Just one win....one....would be big for this team.

Tekamah-Herman has to get extra pumped up knowing they're on the Bull.

I really hope the Tigers can pick up their first win of the year and get the monkey off their back.

Losing is tough, especially the way Tekamah-Herman has lost this year, so I wish the Tigers the best of luck.

The game will be aired on 107.9 the Bull after the Girls Game, which is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.

The Tekamah-Herman Girls Basketball Team is 2-1 in their last 3 games, winning 45-31 at home over Madison Friday night, losing 54-12 at West Point-Beemer on Saturday, and winning 47-42 at Oakland-Craig Tuesday night.

The Tigers led the Dragons 10-2 after one, and outscored Madison 11-2 in the 2nd quarter to take a 21-4 lead into the locker room.

Tekamah-Herman won the 3rd quarter 13-12 to go up 34-16 at the end of three.

The Dragons outscored the Tigers 15-11 in the 4th quarter.

Marin Jetensky had 13 points and 16 rebounds, good enough for a double-double. Gabby Mercier and Jadyn Fleischman added 8 points apiece while Anna Wakehouse notched 7.

The Cadets led 14-3 after one before outscoring the Tigers 13-2 in the 2nd quarter to take a 27-5 lead into the locker room.

West Point-Beemer outscored Tekamah-Herman 20-4 in the 3rd quarter to go up 47-9 at the end of three.

The Cadets won the 4th quarter 7-3.

The Tigers led the Knights 9-4 at the end of one. Oakland-Craig outscored Tekamah-Herman 12-8 in the 2nd quarter to make it a 17-16 game at halftime in favor of the Tigers.

Tekamah-Herman won the 3rd quarter 15-12 to lead 32-28 at the end of three.

The Tigers also won the 4th quarter 15-14.

Jetensky led the Tigers with 14 points and 16 boards for a double-double. Fleischman added 11 points. Mercier hit for 7 points.

Great games from Tekamah-Herman on Friday and Tuesday.

The Tigers (5-12) host Fort Calhoun (1-12) Thursday night in a game that will be aired on 107.9 the Bull.

The Pioneers lost 60-33 at Yutan on Saturday.

I think Tekamah-Herman has a great chance to pick up their 6th win of the year Thursday night.

Other than the West Point-Beemer game, I think the Tigers are playing pretty good basketball right now.

I know Oakland-Craig is without Kennedy Benne and Dacey Nelson, but it was still a big deal for Tekamah-Herman to win that game.

It has to give the Tigers a lot of confidence knowing they can beat a good team.

The Pioneers have lost 9 in a row and are having a down year, but beat DC West, who Tekamah-Herman lost to.

No team can be taken for granted, that's for sure.

The Tigers have to come out ready to build on what they did Tuesday and Friday.

Tekamah-Herman can't be hung up about or hungover from the win over the Knights.

It's a new day and a new game, and the Tigers have to go out there and prove themselves once again.

You can bet Fort Calhoun will give it their all and bring their best so Tekamah-Herman has to do the same.

Jetensky, Fleischman, Mercier, and Wakehouse have to play the way they did against the Dragons.

I thought the Tigers had great balance in that game, and that has to continue for Tekamah-Herman to be successful.

I don't think there's any doubt the Tigers have picked up their game and are playing better ball lately.

Tekamah-Herman is 4-4 in their last 8 games and has won 2 out of their last 3.

That's a great response to the 1-8 start the Tigers got off to.

Tekamah-Herman is a much stronger team now than they were about a month ago, and I'm glad to see the Tigers doing better.

It's a good thing.

Thursday night's game is set to tip-off at 6:00 p.m. on the Bull.
