Difficult loss for the Patriots last Saturday, but I thought Clarkson/Leigh did a nice job bouncing back against Tekamah-Herman.
The Patriots (3-14) take on Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (18-2) on the road Tuesday night.
The Raiders won 38-36 over BRLD in the Conference Tournament Championship Game at Central Community College in Columbus on Saturday.
This game appears to be a total mismatch on paper, but that's why they play the games.
Bruhn, Beller, and McEvoy have to step up big time and play well for Clarkson/Leigh.
The Patriots have to try and limit Ben Moxness, Jacob Polk, Alex VonSeggern, Alex Hagerbaumer, and others.
Clarkson/Leigh has to try and defend the post, and make LVSS hit shots from the outside.
This figures to be a difficult game and matchup for the Patriots, but anything can happen.
Clarkson/Leigh has to try and tightly guard Moxness and force him to give the ball up.
I would say the Patriots have to focus on slowing down Moxness and Polk. If Clarkson/Leigh can hold those two to single digits things could get interesting.
The Raiders are a great team, and beating them, let alone on the road, isn't going to be easy.
With that said, this Patriot team has played better basketball in the second half of the season, in my opinion, and shouldn't back down from the Raiders at all.
Clarkson/Leigh has to play tough, tight in your face pressure defense and must contest shots and rebound well.
The Patriots also have to control the pace of this game, and not get into a big track meet with LVSS.
Clarkson/Leigh has to be poised and confident heading into this one.
Upsets happen all the time, especially this time of year, and the Patriots have to be optimistic and believe that they are destined to pull off a stunner.
Clarkson/Leigh has three games next week so the Patriots have to work hard and make the most of them.

Clarkson/Leigh won the 4th quarter 10-7 to tie the game at 42 and send it into overtime.
Both teams scored 4 points in the first OT, and the game went into double OT tied at 46.
The Patriots outlasted the Jaguars 7-2 in the second overtime session.
Kaegan Held had a game-high 20 points while Steffensmeier notched 16.
Great win for Clarkson/Leigh over Howells-Dodge. The Stanton loss was tough, but I thought the Patriots did a nice job of responding.
Clarkson/Leigh (13-6) takes on Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (5-14) on the road Tuesday night.
The Raiders won 45-35 over Pender in the Bronze Bracket of the Conference Tournament at Oakland-Craig Thursday night.
LVSS snapped a 6-game losing streak in the process.
This could definitely be a tough and a trap game for the Patriots.
Clarkson/Leigh has to play strong defensively like they always do, and must be efficient offensively.
Steffensmeier has to continue her good play on offense and Stodola has to continue to score and rebound the ball well as well.
The Patriots have to continue to play great team ball, and must continue to work hard together.
Right now Clarkson/Leigh is 3rd in power points in Class D-1, and could potentially get the number one seed in sub-districts and be in a good position to earn a wildcard into the state tournament.
The Patriots are sitting pretty right now, but Clarkson/Leigh has Stanton on Thursday and Wisner-Pilger to close out the regular season on Friday.
The Patriots have to keep working hard and keep grinding, and must keep their eye on the prize.
As well as Clarkson/Leigh has done this season their work is not done.
The Patriots have to remain hungry and humble, and must continue to get better.
The journey and task is not done yet, and Clarkson/Leigh has to keep pressing forward.
That starts by taking care of business Tuesday night.
The Patriots have to come out ready to go from the start.
Clarkson/Leigh has to play hard, smart, physical, tenacious, and with mental and physical toughness, passion, and pride.
The Patriots have to grind out a win if needed. The only thing that matters is that Clarkson/Leigh finds a way to win.
