Tekamah-Herman Boys and Girls lose at North Bend Central

The Tekamah-Herman Boys Basketball Team lost 72-22 at North Bend Central Tuesday night.

North Bend Central got out to a 21-4 lead at the end of one on Tekamah-Herman, and outscored them 24-2 in the 2nd quarter to take a 45-6 lead into the locker room.

North Bend Central outscored Tekamah-Herman 16-0 in the 3rd quarter to go up 61-16 at the end of three.

North Bend Central won the 4th quarter 11-6.

Clay Beaumont led Tekamah-Herman with 16 points.

Another difficult loss for Tekamah-Herman without a doubt.

Tekamah-Herman (0-17) hosts Omaha Brownell-Talbot (7-13) Tuesday night.

The Raiders lost 81-76 at home to Omaha Nation Thursday night.

Omaha Brownell-Talbot has dropped 4 in a row and 5 out of their last 6.

It still figures to be tough for the Tigers to win though.

Tekamah-Herman has to make the most of what's left in the season though.

The Tigers have at least 3 games in the season, and have to keep battling.

Tekamah-Herman has to show the heart of a champion and fight until the very end no matter the odds.

The Tigers have to work as hard as possible these next few weeks and end the season as strong as possible.

Tekamah-Herman may or may not win a game this year, but that's not important at this point.

What's important is that the Tigers continue to learn and grow as young men on and off the court, and in the classroom.

I emphasize student-athlete because that's exactly what these kids are in every sense of the term.

Tekamah-Herman has to continue to learn life lessons that will set them up for success the rest of their high school careers and lives.

This year is a good learning experience for the younger kids if anything.

It's a tough way for the seniors to go out, but it is what it is.

The Tigers just have to make the most of what they have left in the season, and what is to come in the next couple of weeks.

Tekamah-Herman has to find a way to make gains even if they don't win a game this season.

A victory within a loss is what the Tigers are most likely looking at at this point I would say.

The Tekamah-Herman Girls Basketball Team lost 60-30 at North Bend Central Tuesday night.

Tekamah-Herman led 13-12 after one before North Bend Central outscored them 17-5 in the 2nd quarter to take a 29-18 lead into the locker room.

North Bend Central outscored Tekamah-Herman 14-4 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 21 at 43-22 at the end of three.

North Bend Central won the 4th quarter 17-8.

Marin Jetensky had 19 points and 10 rebounds for Tekamah-Herman, good enough for a double-double.

Nice start for Tekamah-Herman, they just couldn't keep up throughout the course of the game.

Tekamah-Herman (6-16) battles Fort Calhoun (3-18) in the C1-4 Sub-District Bunny Bracket Game at Oakland-Craig Monday night.

The Pioneers lost 59-42 at home to Omaha Duschesne Monday night.

The Tigers beat Fort Calhoun 30-20 at home on January 18th.

I look for Tekamah-Herman to win again, and advance to the Sub-District Semifinals against West Point-Beemer.

The game figures to be close, but I think the Tigers will find a way to win.

Tekamah-Herman has had a strong second half of the season, and has to play with a chip on their shoulder and believe that anything can happen this postseason.

The Tigers have to dream big, and go out there and play hard, smart, and have fun.

Tekamah-Herman has to lay it all out on the line and leave everything out on the floor.

The Tigers must give it their all for 4 quarters on Monday, and any other games they might play after that.

Anything can happen this time of year, and Tekamah-Herman has to believe that and be optimistic.

The Tigers have to be ready to go for 4 complete quarters, and must give it everything they've got.

It's do or die for Tekamah-Herman, and the Tigers have to play with a real sense of urgency and purpose Monday night.

Tekamah-Herman can't overlook Fort Calhoun or assume they're going to win.

The Tigers have to come out and be aggressive, and take it to the Pioneers for 4 quarters.

Tekamah-Herman also has to keep their emotions in check and not let the emotions of the game get the best of them.

Tip-off is set for 7:00 p.m.

The winner plays the Cadets on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.
