Tekamah-Herman Boys lose to Madison and North Bend Central

The Tekamah-Herman Boys Basketball Team lost 80-78 to Madison in an East Husker Conference Tournament Consolation Game at Clarkson Friday night before falling 64-25 at North Bend Central Tuesday night.

The Dragons led 17-15 after one, and doubled up the Tigers 18-9 in the 2nd quarter to take a 35-24 lead into the locker room.

Madison won the 3rd quarter 24-23 to go up 59-47 at the end of three.

Tekamah-Herman outscored the Dragons 31-21 in the 4th quarter.

Brock Rogers had 21 points while Clay Beaumont totaled 16. Jed Hoover added 14 while Dylan Chatt notched 13.

North Bend Central led 23-8 after one, and outscored Tekamah-Herman 16-5 in the 2nd quarter to take a 39-13 lead into the locker room.

NBC outscored Tekamah-Herman 18-5 in the 3rd quarter to increase their lead to 57-18 at the end of three.

Both teams scored 7 points in the 4th quarter.

A couple of tough late season losses for Tekamah-Herman.

The Tigers (4-15) host Fort Calhoun (12-7) Thursday night.

The Pioneers won 55-38 at Arlington last Tuesday night.

This doesn't figure to be an easy game for Tekamah-Herman whatsoever.

The Tigers have lost 6 in a row and 9 out of their last 10.

Tekamah-Herman could really use a win in this one if you ask me.

The Tigers have to come out and play hard and play smart Thursday night.

This is the last ever home game for the Seniors too so Tekamah-Herman has to come out and play for them too.

The Tigers have to try and send the seniors out winners if at all possible.

I know Tekamah-Herman has it in them to win, they just have to come out and play a great game from start to finish.

The Tigers have to rebound well and contest shots and box out well also.

Tekamah-Herman has to take good shots and must make their layups and get to the free throw line and convert.

The Tigers have to find a way to play better basketball than they have been lately.

Time is running out on Tekamah-Herman's season, and the Tigers have to step things up and play to their potential Thursday night.

Tekamah-Herman can definitely do it too they just have to put their minds to it.

The Tigers are likely going to play West Point-Beemer in Sub-Districts next Monday.

Tekamah-Herman can't look that far ahead yet though.

The Tigers need to focus on Fort Calhoun first and then worry about DC West next Friday.

The end could very well be in sight for Tekamah-Herman, but the Tigers have to try and focus on each individual game and not think about the season coming to an end soon.

The season is going to end soon one way or another, but the longer Tekamah-Herman can prolong things once Sub-Districts get here the better.
