Tekamah-Herman Girls lose to Clarkson/Leigh and North Bend Central to end regular season

The Tekamah-Herman Girls Basketball Team lost 44-41 to Clarkson/Leigh at Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family in an East Husker Conference Tournament Consolation Game before falling 59-23 at North Bend Central in Tuesday night's regular season finale.

The Tigers led 13-11 after one. The Patriots outscored Tekamah-Herman 15-6 in the 2nd quarter to take a 26-19 lead into the locker room.

The Tigers won the 3rd quarter 12-8 to make it a 34-31 game at the end of three.

Both teams scored 10 points in the 4th quarter.

North Bend Central tripled up Tekamah-Herman 12-4 in the 1st quarter, and outscored them 21-3 in the 2nd quarter to take a 33-7 lead into the locker room.

NBC doubled up Tekamah-Herman 16-8 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 49-15 at the end of three.

North Bend Central won the 4th quarter 10-8.

I thought Tekamah-Herman played a great game against the Patriots.

The Tigers (10-12) battle Yutan (14-8) in the opening round of Sub-Districts at Logan View in C2-2 action Tuesday night.

The Chieftains won 55-24 at Johnson County Central Thursday night.

I feel this game has a chance to be very close and tightly contested.

It could be a situation where Tekamah-Herman loses a close game or Yutan wins big.

It should be a good game I would think though.

Jadyn Fleischman must have a big game for the Tigers.

Tekamah-Herman has to try and get it into her as much as possible.

The Chieftains are a solid team and the Tigers are going to need to play great to pick up the win.

Tekamah-Herman can definitely do it too as the Tigers have done some really nice things this season.

Tekamah-Herman has to control tempo and take care of the ball and limit turnovers.

I think the Tigers are going to have to knock down some jump shots as well to be successful.

Fleischman has to stay out of foul trouble.

Tekamah-Herman would likely get Oakland-Craig in Thursday's Sub-District Final should they win.

The Knights are an incredible team, and would be tough for either team to beat.

Mead is solid too though as they are the 4 seed.

This is a strong Sub-District with a lot of good teams and basketball being played.

The Tigers have to step up their game a few notches on Tuesday to advance to Thursday's Sub-District Final.

Tekamah-Herman has to be confident and must believe that they can win heading into this one.

The Tigers have to expect to be playing Thursday night, and then go from there.

Tip-off on Tuesday is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in rural Hooper.
