The Knights lost 63-60 at home to North Bend Central Friday night.
Oakland-Craig is a better team than their record, in my opinion, and is capable of beating the Cougars.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast has been so good this year though that I really like their chances of coming away with a victory Thursday night.
Anderson, Christoffersen, Hegy, and Montana Riecken have been the real deal for the Cougars.
This should be a good game that comes down to the wire. A strong start and finish is the key to the game for Lyons-Decatur Northeast, in my opinion.
The Cougars have to start the way they did against Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, and finish better than they did over the weekend.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast also can't have any bad quarters.
The Cougars have to forget about the loss to the Mustangs. Lyons-Decatur Northeast can't dwell on the setback, and must be focused, determined, and ready to play against the Knights.
I fully expect the Cougars to play well Thursday night. I think Lyons-Decatur Northeast will have a good bounce back performance.
What really helps the Cougars is they will have had almost an entire week to prepare for Oakland-Craig while the Knights only have a day or two to get ready for Lyons-Decatur Northeast.

The Knights lost 48-40 at home to North Bend Central Friday night.
Oakland-Craig has certainly had a wonderful season, and will be another difficult challenge for the Cougars.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast has to find a way to persevere and overcome their recent struggles.
Mental and physical toughness is of paramount importance, especially with the Cougars only having 9 girls on their roster.
Lyons-Decatur Northeast has gotten the most out of themselves this season for the most part, but the Cougars have been struggling some as of late.
It's a really a case of Lyons-Decatur Northeast has ran into some tough teams.
One way or another though the Cougars have to play the hand they've been dealt. That means Lyons-Decatur Northeast has to step up their game and play better than they have in recent games.
I don't know if the Cougars can beat the Knights. Oakland-Craig is a really good team, and is tough.
I wouldn't put it past Lyons-Decatur Northeast to pull it off, but it's going to be difficult.
The Cougars have to maximize their ability and potential and hope the Knights are having an off night.
