Oakland-Craig Boys and Girls beat Bancroft-Rosalie and Tekamah-Herman
The Oakland-Craig Boys topped Bancroft-Rosalie 69-68 on the road Friday night, and won 76-60 over Tekamah-Herman at home Tuesday night.
The Panthers and Knights were tied at 12 after one. Bancroft-Rosalie won the second quarter 20-13 to take a 32-25 lead into the locker room.
The Panthers outscored Oakland-Craig 20-18 in the third quarter to go up 52-43 after three.
The Knights put up 26 fourth quarter points, and held Bancroft-Rosalie to 16.
Carter Thiele totaled 27 points and 13 rebounds, good enough for a double-double. Evan Reinert had 17 points while Garrett Seagren registered 11.
Thiele had a team-high 29 points against the Tigers. Seagren added 19 while Reinert had 10 points and 7 rebounds. Cole Mitchell added 7 points and 7 rebounds.
Oakland-Craig is starting to regain their early season form. The Knights are playing good basketball right now.
Oakland-Craig (6-9) hosts North Bend Central (12-1) Friday night.
The Tigers topped Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 49-41 at home Monday night.
North Bend Central has been very good and methodical this season. The Tigers aren't the flashiest team, but they do enough to win games.
I really don't think there's a huge difference between the two teams though.
The only real difference, in my opinion, is North Bend Central has been more consistent than the Knights.
Oakland-Craig has just as good of scorers, if not better, than the Tigers. The Knights' biggest problem is slowing people down.
North Bend Central plays better defense than Oakland-Craig, in my opinion. But I feel the Knights are a better offensive team.
When Oakland-Craig is on they are about as good as anyone around. But when the Knights are off, they are very susceptible to getting blown out.
I either see this being a close game or a game Oakland-Craig loses big.
I think it all depends on which Knights' team shows up to play.
Listen to Friday night's game on 107.9 the Bull. It's scheduled to start after the girls game, which is set to begin at 6:00 p.m.

The Knights doubled up the Panthers 16-8 in the third quarter to lead 45-38 after three.
Oakland-Craig outscored Bancroft-Rosalie 20-15 in the fourth quarter.
Olivia Bures had a team-high 18 points and 9 rebounds. Dacey Nelson added 17 points while Brynn Charling scored 11 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. Emma Reinert totaled 7 rebounds.

The Knights won the third quarter 10-8 to go up 39-35 at the end of three.
Oakland-Craig put up 21 fourth quarter points compared to 17 for Tekamah-Herman.
Bailey Charling led the way with 17 points. Brynn Charling notched 14 points and 7 rebounds while Nelson totaled 14 points.
The Knights have continued to play at a high level. Oakland-Craig is doing enough to keep winning.
The Knights (12-2) host North Bend Central (11-2) Friday night.
The Tigers beat Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 55-18 at home Monday night.
Both teams have played tough, high quality ball this season, and are good.
The two teams appear to be pretty evenly matched, which makes picking a winner that much more difficult.
Both teams are as solid as they come defensively. The difference for me is Oakland-Craig's offense.
The Knights are a bit more polished on offense, in my opinion.
Given that and the fact the game is in Oakland would lead one to think that the Knights will win.
The game can really go either way though.
I give Oakland-Craig the edge with the game being on their home floor, but North Bend Central is more than capable of winning themselves.
The Knights have to play one of their better games of the year if they want to come out on top. The Tigers are no doubt one of the better teams they've faced all year.
It should be a fantastic game. Catch all the action on 107.9 the Bull. The game is set to start at 6:00 p.m.
