The Winnebago Boys have continued their winning ways, defeating Lutheran High Northeast 68-45 last Tuesday, Pierce 51-39 last Wednesday, and Ponca 78-63 last Thursday in the Shootout on the Elkhorn Tournament in Wisner.
The Indians defeated Howells-Dodge 85-62 in the championship game of the Knight Classic in Fremont on Monday before downing Norfolk Catholic 72-61 on the road Tuesday night.

The Indians notched 17 fourth quarter points compared to 12 for Norfolk Catholic.
Wingett had a game-high 30 points. D'Von Lapointe added 21 while Aspen Lapointe scored 15.
Winnebago has continued to play great basketball. I think the Indians would have beat the Knights by more if they were fresher.
Winnebago (13-0) battles Oakland-Craig (4-6) on the road Saturday.
The Indians were supposed to play Laurel-Concord-Coleridge tonight, but that game has been postponed and rescheduled for January 23rd.
The Knights beat Centennial 56-51 in the third place game of the Malcolm Holiday Tournament last Wednesday after losing 44-34 to Wilber-Clatonia in the tournament last Tuesday.
Oakland-Craig is a good team, and has a number of players who can score.
Carter Thiele, Garrett Seagren, Cody Mace, and Evan Reinert are all forces to be reckoned with.
Wingett and Aspen and D'Von Lapointe are great players in their own right though.
As good as the Knights are, I feel that Winnebago is even better.
Oakland-Craig is sort of a JV version of the Indians.
The Knights are a quality team, but Winnebago is a great team.
What the Indians are doing this season has been nothing short of spectacular, and Winnebago appears to be on a mission to take every opponent by storm and beat them.
I look for the Indians to be fresh, motivated, and ready to go given how close Tuesday's game was.
Norfolk Catholic is a good team, but I'm sure Winnebago feels they could have won by more.
Saturday's game is scheduled to start at 8:00 p.m.
The Winnebago Girls are 1-4 in their last five games, losing 69-65 in overtime to Lutheran High Northeast last Tuesday, beating Wakefield 64-57 last Wednesday, and falling 60-47 to Ponca last Thursday in the Shootout on the Elkhorn Tournament in Wisner.

Ponca put up 15 fourth quarter points and held Winnebago to 12.
Kae Earth totaled 14 points. Frenchman notched 9 while Colvin recorded 8.

The Knights led the Indians 21-9 at the end of one. Norfolk Catholic outscored Winnebago 17-11 in the second quarter to take a 38-20 lead into the locker room.
The Knights won the third quarter 15-10 to go up 53-30 at the end of three.
The Indians notched 21 fourth quarter points compared to 16 for Norfolk Catholic.
Frenchman finished with a team-high 15 points. Payer scored 9 while Appleton notched 7.
Winnebago is fighting and playing as hard as they can, but unfortunately the Indians aren't playing their best basketball right now.
Winnebago (4-8) takes on Oakland-Craig (7-2) on the road Saturday.
The Indians were supposed to play Laurel-Concord-Coleridge tonight, but that game has been postponed and rescheduled for January 23rd.
The Knights made the championship game of the Malcolm Holiday Tournament, losing 42-35 to the host Clippers last Wednesday. Oakland-Craig beat Wilber-Clatonia 55-48 last Tuesday, also in the Malcolm Holiday Tournament.
The Knights are a really good team, and Winnebago is going to have to step up their game and play better than they have lately if they hope to win.
Losing to Lutheran High Northeast is not good for momentum purposes.
The Indians have a couple of tough losses this season, but I still think there's potential in this Winnebago team.
Frenchman, Colvin, Kae and Isabel Earth, Harris, Payer, and Appleton have all stepped up and scored at different times for the Indians.
Winnebago has been pretty good offensively, it's just a matter of getting the defense going.
The Indians will try and slow down the likes of Brynn Charling, Olivia Bures, Dacey Nelson, and Emma Reinert.
Saturday's game is scheduled to tip-off at 6:00 p.m.
