The Bluejays outscored the Trojans 20-9 in the 4th quarter.
Minnick paced the Bluejays with 23 points while Ulrich chipped in 10.
I thought GACC played well in both games overall, building off what they did at Battle Creek last Tuesday.
GACC (3-12) takes on Pierce (4-11) in the Mid-State Conference Tournament at Pierce on Saturday.
Pierce won 61-38 at Crofton Thursday night.
Pierce is a lot like GACC in that they've lost a lot of games to good teams, and are a better team than their record indicates.
GACC needs to continue to play the way they have and build off of what they've done lately.
Pierce is playing respectable basketball right now too.
Both teams have been inconsistent over the course of the season as a whole and overall so I think this game largely hinges on which team is more ready to play.
The winner of this game gets Cedar Catholic on Tuesday at 6:15 p.m. at Northeast Community College, and I feel either team is capable of winning on Saturday and giving the Trojans a run for their money if not beating them Tuesday night.
GACC has to come out sharp from the start and ready to go.
GACC can't afford to start slow the way they did against Cedar Catholic on Saturday.
GACC has to start fast, and finish the game strong like they did against the Trojans.
GACC has to feel good about their chances of picking up a win on Saturday.
There shouldn't be a lot of pressure with it being a single game at Pierce's gym and it being a play-in game.
GACC has to go out there and execute and play up to their potential.
GACC has to find a way to win and get over the hump.
Pierce is always tough no matter their record, and GACC is going to have to play an extremely good game to come away with the win, in my opinion.
GACC can definitely do it though they just need to put things all together.
Things like getting good looks at the basket and getting to the free throw line and converting are big in a game like this.
Tip-off is set for 5:00 p.m.
The GACC Girls lost 61-52 at O'Neill last Thursday night before falling 65-60 at home to Hartington Cedar Catholic on Saturday. The Bluejays defeated Spaldng Academy 69-18 at home Thursday night.

The Bluejays won the 3rd quarter 14-9 to pull ahead 46-44 at the end of three.

GACC went up 14-6 at the end of one on Spalding Academy before outscoring the Shamrocks 18-4 in the 2nd quarter to take a 32-10 lead into the locker room.
The Bluejays outscored Spalding Academy 22-4 in the 3rd quarter to go up 54-14 at the end of three.
GACC outscored the Shamrocks 15-4 in the 4th quarter.
Brenna Rief had 17 points while Hass added 10 points and 10 rebounds, good enough for a double-double. Kate Gnad added 9 points while Jansen notched 8.
Good bounce back wins after two games that could of been wins with big fourth quarters.
GACC (13-5) takes on Pierce (7-8) in the first round of the Mid-State Conference Tournament on Monday at Northeast Community College in Norfolk.
Pierce lost 58-46 at Crofton Thursday night.
Pierce has lost three in a row and six out of their last seven so this is a game GACC really needs to take advantage of and win.
The winner moves on to face either O'Neill or Norfolk Catholic in the Semifinals on Thursday, and you can bet GACC would love another shot at the Eagles.
First things first though, GACC has to take care of business against Pierce.
I think with a big win Thursday night, GACC will be that much more pepped up and ready to go on Monday.
GACC also has a few days to prep and practice for Pierce so they should be ready to go.
GACC has a tall task in front of them, but they can definitely win as long as they play a great game.
GACC has to limit turnovers and force a lot of turnovers with their pressure defense.
GACC's press is lethal, and I fully anticipate them creating quite a few turnovers with it.
GACC has to be efficient and effective offensively, and must score as much as possible against Pierce.
This is a crucial and critical first round matchup for GACC, and they have to come through and play well.
GACC has to take the fight to Pierce for four quarters, and play as hard as possible.
GACC has to play with the will and drive to win, and must be determined to come out on top.
Every game is big and critical for GACC, and this game is no different.
GACC has their work cut out for them, but they can definitely find a way to get the job done.
I could see GACC playing Crofton for the Championship on Saturday if they play up to their capability and potential in this tournament.
Monday's game is scheduled to tip-off at 6:15 p.m.
