Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Boys lose at Wisner-Pilger, defeat Arlington; Girls lose to both

The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Boys Basketball Team lost 52-34 at Wisner-Pilger Saturday night before winning 47-33 at home over Arlington Tuesday night.

The game with the Gators was tied at 9 at the end of one before Wisner-Pilger outscored the Raiders 13-3 in the 2nd quarter to take a 22-12 lead into the locker room.

The Gators won the 3rd quarter 16-13 to go up 38-25 at the end of three.

Wisner-Pilger outscored LVSS 14-9 in the 4th quarter.

Connor Larson had 15 points while Riley Hoetfelker notched 11.

The Raiders and Eagles were tied at 12 at the end of one. LVSS doubled up Arlington 10-5 in the 2nd quarter to take a 22-17 lead into the locker room.

The Raiders won the 3rd quarter 13-10 to go up 35-27 at the end of three.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder doubled up the Eagles 12-6 in the 4th quarter.

Larson notched 14 points while Nathan Wacker and Trystain Roseberry totaled 8 and 7, respectively.

Tough loss on Saturday for the Raiders, but a nice job playing a complete game and bouncing back Tuesday night.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (8-6) takes on Raymond Central (1-12) on the road Thursday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

The Mustangs lost 83-36 at home to Wahoo Tuesday night.

This game could be closer than most would think given Raymond Central's record.

Reason being the Mustangs beat Arlington by 8 and have played a tough schedule.

I don't foresee the Raiders having any trouble winning this one, but feel it could be closer than your typical 8-6 vs 1-12 matchup.

LVSS has to come out ready to play hard, smart, and physical from the start.

The Raiders have a challenging game on Saturday against West Point-Beemer and need to bring it this weekend.

I think LVSS has a great chance to win all three games this week and head into next week with a lot of momentum.

I look for the Raiders to play a great game Thursday night and carry that play over into Saturday.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder has to get their offense cranked up and continue to play strong defense.

The Raiders are a great defensive ball club I just think they are lacking offensive explosion this year.

That's to be expected with a young team though as it takes time to build a juggernaut.

Defense wins championships though, and so I certainly feel that LVSS is on the right track.

The Raiders have to work on their offensive efficiency on Thursday, and get ready to go full tilt with the Cadets on Saturday.

Roseberry needs to have a great game against the Mustangs on Thursday to get himself back on track.

I look for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder to win on Thursday, and potentially on Saturday as well.

Tip-off between the Raiders and Mustangs on 107.9 the Bull will be after the girls game, which is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.

Listen to the game with Sports Director Joel Janecek and enjoy Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Basketball on the Bull.

The Logan View/Scribner-Snyder Girls fell 47-36 at Wisner-Pilger on Saturday before losing 58-34 at Arlington Tuesday night.

The Gators went up 11-9 after one, and outscored LVSS 10-6 in the 2nd quarter to take a 21-15 lead into the locker room.

Wisner-Pilger outscored the Raiders 19-10 in the 3rd quarter to go up 40-25 at the end of three.

LVSS won the 4th quarter 11-7.

Josie Kahlandt totaled 10 points while Ashley Uhing notched 9. Shaylin Daugherty added 11 rebounds.

The Eagles doubled up the Raiders 14-7 in the 1st quarter and outscored Logan View/Scribner-Snyder 12-2 in the 2nd quarter to take a 26-9 lead into the locker room.

Arlington won the 3rd quarter 20-15 to go up 46-24 at the end of three.

The Eagles won the 4th quarter 12-10.

The Raiders were right there against the Gators if it wasn't for the 1st quarter.

I thought LVSS played a better second half against Arlington.

The Raiders (4-10) take on Raymond Central (4-11) on the road Thursday night in action that will be aired on 107.9 the Bull.

The Mustangs lost 64-36 at home to Wahoo Tuesday night.

This is definitely a game Logan View/Scribner-Snyder can win.

I look for things to be close and come down to the wire at the very end.

I feel things can truly go either way.

The Raiders have to play better than they did in the first half against Arlington if they want to win though.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder can't have offensive droughts if they hope to knock off Raymond Central.

The Raiders have to come out on fire and shoot well from the start.

LVSS has West Point-Beemer on Saturday and Howells-Dodge on Tuesday so we'll see if the Raiders can gain any momentum heading into those contests.

A win would really lift Logan View/Scribner-Snyder's spirits I feel.

A loss would be hard pill to swallow, in my opinion.

The Raiders have to come out and show some fight and play with a sense of urgency Thursday night.

This is a 50/50 game LVSS can definitely win so they have to come out and get the job done.

The Raiders are 1-1 in games decided by single digits as all of their other games have been decided by double figures.

So it will be interesting to see if Logan View/Scribner-Snyder can pull out a tough, close win Thursday night.

It should be a lot of fun to listen to the game on the radio that's for sure.

I think the game has a chance to be thrilling and memorable for sure.

The game is scheduled to tip-off at 6:00 p.m. on the Bull with Sports Director Joel Janecek on the call.
