The North Bend Central Boys Basketball Team won their own Holiday Tournament, winning 67-41 over St. Paul on Saturday and 59-50 over Omaha Concordia in the Championship on Monday.

The Tigers also beat Milford 63-49 at home on Friday, December 21st.

North Bend Central led the Eagles 18-13 after one before Milford outscored the Tigers 20-13 in the 2nd quarter to go up 33-31 at halftime.

North Bend Central won the 4th quarter 16-15.

Tanner Wietfeld paced the Tigers with 21 points while Chase Ruzicka added 13. Emanuel added 12 while Jaxon Wietfeld chipped in 7.

What a great accomplishment for North Bend Central to win their Holiday Tournament. I thought the Tigers played great basketball, especially in the 2nd half against St. Paul.

North Bend Central (7-1) takes on Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (5-4) on the road Friday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

LVSS beat Omaha Brownell Talbot 58-54 in the 3rd place game of the Elmwood-Murdock Holiday Tournament on Saturday.

You can bet the Tigers will be ready to play a great game given the fact they lost to the Raiders last season.

Totally different team for Logan View/Scribner-Snyder this year, but you can bet the Raiders will still give North Bend Central their best shot.

The Tigers should be thrilled about winning the Holiday Tournament, but be focused on LVSS.

There's a lot left for North Bend Central to accomplish this season yet, and winning the Holiday Tournament was the first step towards what the Tigers hope are many championships.

North Bend Central needs to continue to get the type of offensive balance they got in the Holiday Tournament.

The Tigers have to be ready to take the Raiders' best shot, and weather any storms they may face.

Basketball is a game of momentum, and North Bend Central has to seize the momentum during the game as much as possible.

I think it's one of those games where the Tigers can hold a lead throughout the game, and keep pushing it back up to a certain amount if Logan View/Scribner-Snyder makes things close.

The Tigers need to get off to a fast start and grab an early lead and continue to build upon it.

The Tigers need to play the way they did in the second half against the Wildcats if possible.

Whenever North Bend Central is on top of their game they are very difficult to beat.

This is the Tigers' only game this weekend so they should be able to focus in on it very nicely.

It's a rivalry game too, and I fully expect North Bend Central to be on top of their game.

It wouldn't surprise me if this game was decided by single or double digits as I think it could be close or the Tigers could win going away.

The game will be aired on the Bull after the Girls Game, which is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m.

The North Bend Central Girls Basketball Team went 1-1 at their own Holiday Tournament, defeating St. Paul 48-37 on Saturday before falling 54-49 to Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family in Monday's Championship Game.

The Tigers also downed Raymond Central 62-40 on the road on Thursday, December 20th and Milford 48-30 at home on Friday, December 21st.

North Bend Central led the Mustangs 15-8 after one, and outscored Raymond Central 24-13 in the 2nd quarter to take a 39-21 lead into the locker room.

The Mustangs won the 3rd quarter 12-11 to make it a 50-33 game at the end of three.

The Tigers won the 4th quarter 12-7.

The Eagles led 8-7 after one before North Bend Central won the 2nd quarter 11-8 to go up 18-16 at halftime.

The Tigers outscored Milford 14-4 in the 3rd quarter to extend their lead to 32-20 at the end of three.

North Bend Central won the 4th quarter 16-10.

The Tigers jumped out to a 17-7 lead on the Wildcats after one. Both teams scored 11 points in the 2nd quarter, and the score was 28-18 at halftime in favor of North Bend Central.

The Tigers outscored St. Paul 16-9 in the 3rd quarter to go up 44-27 at the end of three.

The Wildcats won the 4th quarter 10-4.

North Bend Central got out to a 14-12 lead on the Bulldogs at the end of one before winning the 2nd quarter 19-14 to take a 33-26 lead into the locker room.

Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family outscored the Tigers 13-6 in the 3rd quarter to tie the game at 39 at the end of three.

The Bulldogs won the 4th quarter 15-10.

Great start and performance by North Bend Central on Saturday, and a great effort on Monday.

The Tigers (6-4) take on Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (3-6) on the road Friday night in action that can be heard on 107.9 the Bull.

The Raiders won 46-45 over Fort Calhoun in the 3rd place game of the Elmwood-Murdock Holiday Tournament on Saturday.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder is a tough, up and coming team, and North Bend Central is going to need to play well to win.

This figures to be a low scoring defensive battle, which probably doesn't favor one team over the other.

The Tigers need to play the way they did for 6 quarters in the Holiday Tournament.

If North Bend Central plays the way they did against St. Paul and the first two quarters against the Bulldogs they should be able to find a way to win.

I feel this game will be much closer than last year's game was though based on the fact the Tigers graduated a lot of players and the Raiders brought some girls back.

Logan View/Scribner-Snyder lost a lot from last year too though so it will definitely be a couple of different teams and faces on the floor for both teams come Friday night.

North Bend Central has to come out and have fun and be loose, yet be aggressive and play hard.

The Tigers have to erase what I would imagine was some heartbreak and disappointment from losing Monday's game.

North Bend Central was so close, and to lose the way they did in the second half at home on their home floor had to be a hard pill to swallow.

With that said, it's all in the past now, and all the Tigers can do is move on and shake it off.

North Bend Central has to come out and put together a great and marvelous performance Friday night.

The Tigers have to turn in one of their better performances of the season and get back on track.

This is a good team that is coming along and getting better with each and every game.

Losing to Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family by 5 is not a bad loss at all, and I fully expect North Bend Central to learn and grow from it.

Tip-off between the Tigers and Raiders is set for 6:00 p.m. on the Bull.
