Emerson-Hubbard Boys lose to Walthill in Sub Districts
The Emerson-Hubbard Boys lost 83-53 to Walthill in the D1-5 Sub District at Ponca Tuesday night.
The Pirates gave it their best shot I'm sure, but came up short of winning.
Emerson-Hubbard finishes the season 8-14.
The Pirates lost their final five regular season games, and that has to be disappointing.
Emerson-Hubbard didn't have a ton of good wins, but picked up two wins each over C-2 foes Wakefield and Homer.
The Pirates lose three seniors in Austin Ostrand, Tyler Haberman, and Tyler Emmons.
These three players were key contributors for Emerson-Hubbard night in and night out, and were a big reason why this team had as much success as they did.
The Pirates bring back Joshua Sebade, Chandler Emmons, Taylor Donner, Jacob Kneifl, and others.
Emerson-Hubbard has some talent returning next year, but all of the returning players need to grow and improve in the offseason if the Pirates want to have a better season next year.
Emerson-Hubbard took steps in the right direction from last year to this year, and I look for the Pirates to take even more positive steps in the right direction next year.
8 wins is something next year's team can build off of, and try to improve on.
Emerson-Hubbard had some success this year and played well at times so look out for the Pirates in the future.
I think Emerson-Hubbard has a chance to win 10 games or more in 2016-2017.
